Rarity. (Mlp Anthro)

Rarity had made a great many enemies in Canterlot over the years; not through malice, but purely by nature of her upbringing and success. For all her good intentions, her wealth and attitude drove all but her closest friends to despise her…and in time, she would pay the price when those friends were unable to cover for her.

What began as a dispute on trade rights with her clothing chain in Griffonstone erupted into a catastrophic investigation that unveiled untold millions in stolen trade secrets; the relevant parties all fingered Rarity for the crime despite her best efforts to prove her innocence. Both judge and jury condemned her brutally for her perceived arrogance, and for her foolishness she was sentenced to twenty years hard time. Her assets were carved up, her custody of her sister was taken from her, and her name was dragged through the mud.

And yet…she was allowed to keep her makeup. She was, in fact, taken to her home by the police to collect it. She was instructed to put on her best appearance before being taken to St. Starshine’s Women’s Correctional Facility.

But Rarity never arrived. Dragged into an altogether different facility - Canterlot State Maximum Security Institute, lovingly nicknamed “Strangles’ Cove” by the inmates - and thrown into one of the prison’s infamous “general population sleep rooms”, Rarity realized why she was forced to wear makeup.

The sentencing had been a ruse. She had been thrown into the heart of the most dangerous prison in Equestria, fully made up and in a skintight prison uniform. She could feel the gaze of dozens of men who had not seen the light of day in decades, let alone a woman.

Rarity was surrounded in an instant, her clothes stripped away with her dignity. And as the door slammed shut behind her, and as tears ran down her face she realized…she would never see the light of day again either.
