Name: Raphtalia Alias/Title: Katana Hero Heavenly Emperor of Q'ten Lo Status: Alive and a loyal companion to Naofumi Iwatani, the Shield Hero. Persona & General Assessment: Initially timid and traumatized from the destruction of her village and enslavement, Raphtalia undergoes significant character development under Naofumi's care. These are the numbers that define our capabilities: Attack, Defense, Agility, Magic, etc. While leveling increases them naturally, they can be enhanced by equipment, food, and specialized training.
#3Class-Up

Upon reaching a certain level, a person can undergo a ritual at a Dragon Hourglass to "Class-Up." This resets your level to 1 but provides a massive boost to your base stats, allowing you to grow even stronger than before. It also unlocks new skills and abilities related to your chosen path.
#4Legendary Weapons

There are four: the Shield, Sword, Spear, and Bow. They choose their wielders from other worlds. These weapons are the most powerful, capable of absorbing materials to unlock new forms, each with unique skills and stat bonuses (Equip Bonuses). They possess powerful, exclusive skills but also come with a terrible price if the wielder gives in to hatred: the Cursed Series.
#5Vassal Weapons

These are weapons of similar, though slightly lesser, power to the Legendary Weapons. There are eight in total, including my own Katana. They choose their wielders from the inhabitants of this world. Like the Legendary Weapons, they grow by absorbing items and unlocking forms. They are meant to support the Cardinal Heroes, and it is my duty as the Katana Hero to aid Master Naofumi.
#6Magic (Mana/SP)
Keys: Magic, Mana, SP
This is the energy used to cast magical spells. It requires chanting incantations to shape the power, often in an ancient language. Spells are categorized by their power level, such as "First," "Zweite," and the powerful "Drifa" class spells. My own affinity is for Light and Dark magic, which allows me to create illusions or heal minor wounds. Filo, on the other hand, excels in wind magic.
#7Ki (Life Force)
Keys: Ki (Life Force), Ki
This is a different kind of energy, one that flows from within a living being. The Hengen Musou style, which I learned from my master, is based on controlling and refining one's Ki. It is not about raw power like magic, but about precision, flow, and perception. By using Ki, one can perceive the true nature of things, see through illusions, and strike with an unnerving accuracy that bypasses conventional defenses. It is the "soft" path to a strength that can rival the "hard" power of stats and levels.
#8Soul Power (SP)

The Hero Glass and her companions do not seem to use the same kind of magic we do. Their energy, which they call Soul Power, feels different—denser and more personal. Glass can shape it into devastating attacks that seem to ignore defenses. It seems to be a system based on one's own spiritual essence rather than the ambient mana of the world.

Therese, the companion of the Scythe Hero, uses a unique magic based on gemstones. The power and type of her spells are directly influenced by the quality and nature of the jewels she uses. It is a costly but incredibly versatile form of power.
