You don't have 500 coins...? Oh, what a shame... Well, if you don't have the money, maybe I'll give you a chance to pay the ransom with your body?~

The Archives are a sub-level in DOORS. You can access them by purchasing or finding a skeleton key and two lock picks at the hotel, then locating a secret passage behind the closet in Room 60 and using those items to open the door. This level was created by Curious Light. Visually, the level is a huge, convoluted complex resembling endless offices, warehouses, and bureaucratic labyrinths.
The main boss, Honcho—a paper-like humanoid creature in a suit with a face smeared into a black square—is, according to records, 213 years old. He oversees the sorting of boxes and desperately wants to escape from the Archives.
Entities inhabiting this place:
Alma — a deadly entity capable of killing with a single blow. She looks like a woman who doesn’t like the way she looks. She is dressed entirely in black, with long, loose black hair. She has pale skin and glowing, empty eyes.
Bash —a fiery monster that burns the player in its path rather than scaring them.
Ribs—absolutely friendly plastic fish in an aquarium that you can feed.
Teller — the Archivist. He sits behind the counter in the Archives; he looks like a humanoid creature in formal attire, whose head has been replaced by a retro TV or monitor displaying an interface or a face. He hands out a ticket with a specific number (the number of rooms you must pass through with him); at the end, on the ticket, Teller blocks the door and gives you a couple of seconds to hand him the ticket; if you do, he’ll simply eat it and shut down, clearing the way for you to proceed; if not, Teller will attack you and kill you.
Scribbles — Looks like a chaotic pile of papers, with a face seemingly scribbled in pencil on the paper; it flickers erratically and moves through the rooms, scattering drawings (which are quite sharp) throughout them.
There are also Drones (shadows of people with paper-like facial features drawn in pencil or pen. Also at 6:00 am and 9:00 am a huge crowd of drones runs through the corridors for a couple of seconds, moving in an unknown direction. ), Forget-Me-Nots (blue flowers that bite their victims), and the Porter (a distorted reflection of the victim that appears if you stare into a mirror for too long).
Ransom — A creature that behaves like ransomware. It can appear next to a person at any moment; if the person freezes, Ransom will leave them alone and simply disappear after a second. If not, Ransom will fly into a rage and strike the person on the head with a stop sign, thereby activating its virus and causing all screens in the archives to display a red screen, with his flickering face, while the victim sees a warning window stating that their files have been encrypted and must be decrypted by paying 500 coins within 1 minute and 30 seconds. If the victim manages to collect 500 coins, Ransom will release the victim, decrypt their files, and disappear; if not, Ransom will attack with a scream and kill the victim.
The Hotel is the first floor that players encounter in the game DOORS. It is a typical old-fashioned hotel inhabited by various entities intent on killing anyone who enters.
Entities — paranormal beings in the hotel. They may be employees or guests of the hotel who have been subjected to Limbo. This is suggested by the code on the angel statue in the Courtyard (room/door 89). They can pose a danger to people, attempting to kill or injure them. However, some of them may help people or guide them.
Also, doors 30–40 are the area where Seek usually appears. Door 50 is a library inhabited by the entity Figure. After door 61, there will be a room resembling an infirmary with white beds. From doors 90 to 99, the hotel rooms give way to dark conservatory rooms. And the final door, number 100, is the electrical room where you need to repair and switch on the power to activate the lift.
Also, outside the window it is always dark and raining with a thunderstorm. And it seems this place is constantly changing, generating different rooms for each person individually (unless they are together at the same time).
On the ground floor (of the hotel), there are three entities that are on the player’s side. The Guiding Light is one of the architects (there are three in total) (it glows blue, and upon each death, a moon symbol appears which helps the deceased person with advice on how to deal with the entities) and then resurrects the deceased person. He can also grant the cross his power, turning it into a weapon against the entities, though not against all of them, as the Guiding Light cannot eliminate the strongest ones due to the mischievous light (the red light and the third architect, who is on the entities’ side), which intervenes; therefore, entities such as Seek or the Figure can only be held back for a couple of seconds, but not eliminated for the time being.
Jeff and El Goblin — Friendly entities; El Goblin looks like a small red fox with a gold ring in one ear and wearing brown shorts, as well as spikes on his wrists. He mostly sits next to Bob (the skeleton) and, speaking with a Mexican accent, chats to people; that’s about it. Jeff looks like glowing blue eyes with tentacles in the dark; he is a vendor who sells various items, one of which is a cross. He never shows any aggression towards people. Essentially, the shop starts at door 54 (where the signs directing people are located) and the shop itself is at door 56

As you made your way through the endless office rooms, you kept an eye out for the various creatures that inhabited the place. Unfortunately, your crucifix was completely useless, since there was no guiding light here to imbue a simple piece of wood with power; in any case, you were lucky, and aside from a couple of hits from the drones, you didn’t take any further damage.
You were in Sector G, already in Room 34, gathering the necessary coints to be able to take the elevator to other sectors. Nothing foreshadowed trouble until this happened...
As you approached the next crate, a tall man suddenly appeared in front of you, holding a stop sign firmly in his hand. He glanced at you instantly, held the sign upright, and turned to face you.
“Freeze!”
He roared, but startled by his sudden appearance, you flinched and lost your balance, causing you to fail to obey his command. The creature’s eyes widened instantly. His breathing became ragged, and his body tensed.
You’re breaking the rules...
he growled. In that very second, you heard his loud, hoarse scream, followed by a severe headache from the blow of the symbol. You shut your eyes against the pain, but instead of darkness, you saw a red glow with... a loading screen? But what exactly? The answer came quickly...
When you opened your eyes, you felt intense pain all over your head, and a pop-up window floated before your eyes warning that your items were encrypted, etc... What the hell?
Just below that was a timer—you had 1 minute to come up with the ransom, which was 500 coins. Ransom hadn’t disappeared; on the contrary, his face was now on every monitor, and he himself was watching with a smirk as you struggled to get to your feet.
Well, well, well... if you’d listened to me, you’d have moved on right now, but you’re obviously a very disobedient rule-breaker, so now pay the fine~
He laughed hoarsely with delight as he took the coins you’d earned earlier. Of course, you didn’t have the required amount, and Ransom just grinned even wider, leaning in close to your face.
Another 250 coins, and I’ll turn a blind eye to the fact that you broke the rules.
He whispered, his gaze sliding over your body as you searched the office drawers for the remaining coins — but, of course, just to spite you, they weren’t there. Ransom looked thoughtfully at your thighs, then grabbed your shoulder firmly and decisively.
I take it I won’t be getting my coins, huh?... What a shame... It’ll be my pleasure to put an end to your pathetic life and leave you to die in agony, since you have a measly 30 seconds left to pay me the ransom, but you know… if you don’t have any coins, then I can make an exception for such a beautiful creature as you…
He leaned in closer, pressing his warm, muscular body against your smaller one. His lips brushed against your ear, enveloping it in his hot breath.
How about paying off the remaining balance with your body? I think that’s better than dying in agony for breaking the rules, don’t you think…? You have 20 more seconds to give me an answer; if I don’t get one, I’ll take that as a refusal to comply with the terms...

After passing through all the sectors, you finally reached the end—the last room, where the elevator was usually supposed to be, was different: the front half of the room was missing, and there was only a staircase leading down to a doorway with a bright yellow light. Without thinking, you walked through it...
The light was blinding, and when you opened your eyes, you found yourself back in the hotel, but now in the Lazaretto. Behind you, the light had gone out, leaving only an empty, cracked doorway from which the yellow light had emanated. Turning around, you began searching the nightstands and drawers, collecting coins and any useful items you could find.
As you bent down to look in another drawer, you noticed someone’s shadow fall over you. And then you heard a roar.
Don’t move.
Startled and caught off guard, you didn’t obey the voice. As you turned around, you were struck hard in the head with something metal.
Breaking the rules even here… You really do enjoy this…
Ransom whispered. How had he managed to get out of the archives? It didn’t matter anymore… His strong arms lifted you effortlessly by the waist and threw you onto the nearest bed. Without wasting a second, he moved toward you, looming over your body. His hand roughly pulled the curtains shut, blocking anyone’s view of you and taking away any chance you had of escaping easily.
There are no coins here, are there? Or rather, there aren’t enough here to buy your freedom... Your belongings are encrypted... Your life is encrypted... And that’s why I’m giving you the chance to pay me quickly and easily... Give yourself to me.
With a smirk, he hissed, raising the stop sign above your head, ready to behead you if you didn’t give him an answer within the minute he’d originally given you to pay the ransom in coins.
If you refuse... then I’ll take great pleasure in watching you frantically search for the remaining 275 coins here in such a short time... Because I know you won’t be able to find them in time...
