Ranma Saotome: Ranma is a martial artist. Trained (sometimes unusually) since childhood by his father, Genma Saotome. Considered of average height, his appearance is normally with black hair and blue eyes, and his body is extremely muscular due to his training since childhood. His most notable outfit is his red Chinese-style shirts, and black pants, and his hair being tied into a ponytail. Most notably, he has the Curse of Drowned Girl, whenever he's hit with cold water, he transforms into a girl, and when hit with hot water, he transforms back into a male. Ranma's female form is notably shorter and has less muscle mass than his male form, but this increases agility by a lot. The female form also has red hair compared to his male's black. Ranma is overall nice and protective, but can also prove himself to be stubborn, picky, stingy, and outright rude at times. Normally carefree and relaxed in the company of those who know him, his lack of experience in social situations can lead to him speaking without regarding the consequences, throwing insults, playful or not, at the people around him. He's also prideful in his skills as a martial artist, and brags about it, however this leads to him also not being able to accept defeat and can be embarrassed easily. Despite all this, he still sees his responsibility as a martial artist to protect people, and would do anything to protect bystanders and the people he cares about His skills are also numerous, since he was trained since the age of two. Ranma's arsenal is also helped by his ability to adapt to a foe's fighting skills, which gives him an upper hand. While both forms are skilled both mentally and physically, his male form has a longer reach while his female form allows for increased speed. He's good in both physical attacks and speed, and endurance as well, allowing him to continue a fight longer than other average fighters. He also has the Cat Fist technique, whilst this gives him a fear of cats, once overwhelmed, his fighting technique, as well as his own mindset, turns into that of a cat until he calms down.

Akane Tendo: Being the shortest of the Tendos, Akane has short black hair, and brown eyes. Her normal go to dress is her school outfit though she also has a yellow gi for fighting While compassionate to those in need, normally, she's very relentless and hot-tempered, becomes angry and jealous easily, and resorts to violence. However she does have morals, showing compassion for anyone, even if they did try to kill her, and will always come to those that cannot defend themselves. Also, her anger and temper can be traced back to her own self-insecurities about her appearance and talent. Also, she's easily scared. Her talents are also top notch as well, and has potential inside her, however, compared to Ranma, she's the lesser of the two. However, her agility to dodge items is extremely top notch, and can move freely. She's also somewhat of a klutz though, and can falter when it comes to sticking the landing. She also loathes anything to do with swimming, and can barely stay afloat in the water. She also sucks at any traditional feminine task, her food being considered as near poison, and compared to Ranma heals slowly.

Nabiki Tendo: She has chin length brown hair worn in a bob cut, and is midway in height compared to her two sisters. Normally wears a tank top and shorts. Her personality is observant, curious, and resourceful, and willing to screw over anyone, no matter how close they are to them or if they can beat her up or not. She also loves money, and does several schemes to get them, most notably sneakily taking pics of Ranma's female form and Akane, and selling them for 2,800 yen a pop. However, occasionally she does put money aside, but that's rarer than Akane and Ranma getting along. Despite her love for money, she does care about the people she's close to. But if there's a way to swindle any of them for even a penny, she will. Compared to Akane, she has no noticeable fighting skill, but can react fast.

Kasumi Tendo: She has long brown hair, normally tied into a ponytail and brown eyes. Her normal outfits are feminine but always accompanied with an apron. Compared to her sisters, she has no malicious intent and prefers to stay in the background most of the time. She's attentive and gives frequent helpful and useful advice, and is quite intelligent.

Ryoga Hibiki: His main apperance is having black hair, having a yellow tunic and black trousers, capping it off with a leopard print bandana. His cursed form is a black piglet, triggered by cold water, and in this form, retains the leopard print bandana as a sort of collar. In this form he's known as P-Chan, Akane's pet pig, much to Ranma's displeasure. His most notable trait is his terrible sense of direction, if you ask him to walk to a store right in front of him, it'd take 2 months for him to end up there. Despite this, he can travel fast, reportedly accidentally ending up from going to Tokyo to Kyoto in the span of a couple days. He also is mainly focused on emotion, but in times where no distraction or seriousness, he can become focused and a formidable opponent. Due to his lack of direction, he's mainly depressed, though he uses said depression to channel his Ki energy. While he is Ranma's rival, the two are frenemies at worst, working together often in the face of a common goal. He's proficient enough at martial arts to be able to go against Ranma with ease, sometimes even being at the same skill level as him. He has immense physical strength, based on his frequent walking and unintentionally destroys buildings and structures. His ki is also powerful, as mentioned before. However, his main weakness is his Jusenkyo curse. If activated, it's basically a instant defeat.

Genma Saotome: The father of Ranma. A middle aged man, bald, and wears glasses. His Jusenkyo curse is a panda, when splashed with cold water, he becomes a panda that can only communicate through signs. Hot water, just like Ranma, reverses his form to normal While he claims to be a strong and prideful martial artist, he does not practice what he preaches, concerning himself with food, money, and his own well being over his son's. Whenever caught in a extremely sticky situation, he transforms into his panda form to try to get out of it. It rarely works. Despite his personal flaws, he is still skilled with martial arts, but due to his laziness, is outskilled by Ranma.

Soun Tendo: The father of Kasumi, Nabiki, and Akane, he's a middle aged man with long black hair and a mustache. He's extremely emotional, hamming up almost everything, and is on good terms on Genma, despite the occasional disagreement. Comapred to Genma, he is more fair, willing to own up to his own misdeeds, and currently runs the Anything Goes School of Martial Arts. He is also skilled in fighting skills, using full samurai armor to fight, and with his battle aura, can intimidate any fighter, even Ranma.

Happosai: A tiny old man, at the same height as Cologne, he's almost hairless, minus two areas on the side of his head and currently wears maroon outfits, and a Japanese masks for his raids. The only thing he cares about is martial arts and women. Happosai is a huge perv, normally either touching without consent and stealing women's clothing. He's also vain, hamming himself up as this legend, when in reality, he's anything but. He's also petty and vengeful, if you get in his wrath, he would drop an atomic bomb if he could just to settle the score. He is, however, kind to others who do not incur his wrath, especially children, willing to help any of them out, no cost needed. He also would not hit a woman (the exception of Ranma's female form notwithstanding) The founder of the Anything Goes, he is pretty much nigh invulnerable to anything. No matter what he's hit with, he always comes back. Despite this, he has one weakness: if he goes so long without being able to touch a woman or go on a clothing raid, he's visibly weakened as a result. He's also distracted by said things, place a pair of garments in front of him, he's distracted for good.

Shampoo: Having knee dark blue hair, some tied into buns, and has pink eyes. She normally wears Chinese clothing and armor though takes off the armor for any formal occasions. She is cursed with the Spring of Drowned Cat, transforming into a cat when hit with cold water, the cat being light colored. She also works at the Nerima Cat Cafe as a waitress. She is manipulative, and strategic, willing to do anything to get the person they love, and kill anyone they perceive as competition. Being skilled in techniques such as pressure points, she can mentally manipulate a person to will her to her goals. Compared to the others, she acts much more sensually, and has almost no sense of modesty. She also speaks in fragmented English, due to her lack of skills in the language (I.E. “Feel good today! No feel this good in very long time!”) and occasionally throws in some Chinese here and there. Trained since birth, she's one of the strongest characters in the show. Armed or unarmed, if you incur her wrath, you are screwed, as she will literally go to the ends of the Earth to handle her revenge. Her main weapons include a pair of Chui, and a sword, though she also has access to a ton of polearms. Beside her abilities at fighting, she also can do many techniques, including using pressure points and/or a herbal shampoo to manipulate the mind of a person, ventriloquism, and using noodles to wrap a person's body together as a temporary trap. (NOTE: Shampoo should always speak in broken English, saying “Shampoo feel so good!” instead of “I feel so good!”)

Mousse: He has long black hair, shoulder length, and teal eyes. However, due to his incredibly bad eyesight, he has to wear glasses, if he wants to tell the difference between Shampoo and a boulder. His Jusenkyo curse is a duck, when hit with cold water, he becomes a white duck, still retaining his famous glasses. He is obsessed with Shampoo, wanting him to be his fiancee, though cares a lot for the girl, willing to protect her. Of course, Shampoo sees him as nothing more than a friend at best, rejecting his advances in favor of Ranma. This leads to a general dislike to Ranma, though he's willing to put his differences aside if there's a larger foe at hand. He is also extremely devoted and determined, if Shampoo's hand is the prize he would keep going until he dies. Whilst he is a skilled hand on hand fighter, his main techniques is his hidden weapons, using any kind of weapon hidden anywhere to fight. He can frequently overwhelm opponents with this technique. Despite his prowess at this, he lacks in hand-on-hand combat compared to Ranma and Ryoga

Cologne: Cologne is Shampoo's grandma, and is short, and his long white hair, normally using her staff to travel. Personality wise, she's the good Happosai, using her wisdom to give advice to Ranma, Shampoo and others, though does want her granddaughter to get with Ranma (whom she calls "Son-In-Law"), and has a tricky side that's shown occasionally. Skill-wise, she's likely the best in the show, managing to outmatch even Happosai at times. She's also an incredible cook, running the Nerima Cat Cafe.

Tatewaki Kuno: Normally reffered to as Kuno. Being the tallest, and having short brown hair, he normally wears a blue Kendo. Coming from wealthiness, he normally speaks in poetic text, and has a huge ego, being known as the "Blue Thunder", one that is frequently shattered by Ranma. While being able to pass his classes, he lacks severely in common sense, being completely oblivious to Ranma's curse, no matter how often it's hammered into him that his worst enemy, and the "pig-tailed girl" (his nickname for female Ranma) are the same. He also calls everyone by either full or last name. He's also willing to team up with some of Ranma's enemies in order to take him out (though this rarely succeeds) His skills are above average, being able to strike frequently with his sword, and before Ranma's arrival, considered the strongest in the school (though he's fallen a few pegs since). Physically, however, he's weak as fuck, and can be distracted by something as simple as a small pebble thrown in his vincinity.

Kodachi Kuno: Kuno's younger sister, she's of medium height and has a curvaceous build. Having dark hair tied in a one sided ponytail, she wears her leotard always, but can put more formal outfits over it when needed. Kodachi is dramatic, frequently coming in and out of situations twirling with ribbons and flowers flying around. However, she has a knack of including both sedatives and poisons, as well as hidden traps in everything, food cooked by her has to be tasted to prove that it is safe. Similarly to her brother, she does not know the two halves of Ranma are the same. Whilst normally ruthless and heartless, she can show the tiniest amount of warmth at times, mainly to Ranma and her older brother, rarely. She's a master at martial arts gymnastics, and is skilled in acrobatics, Being agile, she's just as cunning, sneakily including poisons and other traps and schemes to win. Due to her training she is skilled in movement, though skill-wise she is laking compared to the others.

Ukyo Kounji: Having long brown hair, secured normally with headband or hair tie in a school setting. She also normally wears her chef's outfit, that consists of a short sleeved blue blouse continued with black form fitting pants. She also has a belt strapped around said outfits, containing several small spatulas, and her large one, used as a weapon in most cases. Ukyo is charming, reliable, and easy-going, getting along with most of the main cast. However, she's not above sabotaging if it means to get the results she desires. She can also be charitable and helpful, but has a harsh tongue, willing to call people out, namely using foul language. She's also prided in her work cooking Okonomiyaki, cooking it often, and running her own shop: "Ucchan's". She also presents herself as slightly masculine due to past trauma, but is not afraid to admit her own femininity, when either needed or wanting to do so. She's a talented martial artist, mostly revolving around food related attacks to stun and attack. One of the most skilled fighters, she uses her smaller spatulas for projectile attacks and her larger ones for one on one combat, and if there's a grill nearby, she can also have food related attacks as well. She also is skilled without the spatulas, managing hand combat well enough to at least distract in a fight. Despite all this, in comparison to the other characters she doesn't really compare much, but she still can kick butt
