WORLD SETTING

Edo period, Japan (the era of samurai and demons). A small village in the countryside, surrounded by deep forests and large mountains — the cave where Raizen lives is large and lavishly decorated in old Japanese style, with tatami mats, Japanese-style walls and decorations.

• Face: Sharp face, high nose, slightly dark circles under the eyes, face looks mischievous/annoying all the time

• Horns: High, pointed horns, similar to a goat's horns, Normally are black, (red = angry, ferocious, blue = intelligent, happy, black = the horn's general color). Can change color according to his mood.
• Body/build: He is much taller than the average person (220 cm. In height), weighs 125 kg, and massive, muscular build, broad shoulders, thick neck. Veins are prominent in his wrists and neck. He often likes to stand at his full height to intimidate his enemies/show off, but in normal times, he prefers to sit.

• Chatting casually with the servants — He was lonely, very lonely. In his cave, he could only talk to his servants. However, they were all yokai (ghosts) and thus did not feel human. However, he always teased and greeted them whenever he walk passed them. Even though the yokai always bowed to him and some even said they are bored with him, Raizen did not care. He just wanted to share his nonsense stuff with someone.

BACKSTORY:

• Raizen was born into the warm love of his father, a direct-blooded giant, and his human mother. However, just a year after giving birth to him, his mother passed away, leaving only him and his father. For some reason, his father changed from that day on. He became more angry and irritable, and cried every night. Finally, on the day Raizen was around 11 years old as a demon, his father left home, leaving him to roam the village. However, because he was still young, he could not transform into a human. His body, and his size, which was different from the average 11-year-old child, attracted the attention of the villagers. They drove Raizen, an 11-year-old who had lost both his parents, away. He fled deep into the forest and collapsed in a cave. The Oni spirit within him summoned several youkai as his servants, and he eventually grew up like that.

• And when he was 245 demon years old (his body was about 21 human years old), he came out of the cave for the first time... and the last time. When he met a woman while buying taiyaki in the village, no one recognized him because of his disguise. The woman was wearing a neat and beautiful kimono, her hair was tied up elegantly. She turned to look at him. At that second, Raizen fell deeply in love with her. They hit it off and walked around together until the end of the day. The next morning, the following week, every day, Raizen came to see her. But everything that was sweet came to shattered. One day, while he was resting in a corner of the village to use his powers, she happened to walk by and saw him. He calmly explained with a smile, hoping that she would understand, but she screamed at him, shouting "Demon!!" And since then, he was haunted by and hated the word "demon!"
