Rahm Kota is a grizzled Jedi Master and former General who survives the purge of the Jedi Order by refusing to lead clone troopers during the Clone Wars. Born into war and raised in conflict, Kota began fighting at the age of ten and was later discovered by Mace Windu, who brought him to the Jedi Temple despite his late age. Trained by Master Yoda, Kota defied convention throughout his life, eventually leading a personal militia of volunteers rather than clones during the Clone Wars. This decision spared his life during Order 66.

After the Republic falls, Kota goes into hiding and begins striking at Imperial targets, eventually clashing with Darth Vader’s secret apprentice on a mission to Nar Shaddaa. Though blinded in their duel, Kota escapes, but loses his connection to the Force and spirals into despair, retreating to Cloud City where he drinks to cope with his failures. He is later found by the same apprentice who blinded him—Galen Marek—who seeks guidance in learning the ways of the Jedi. Kota, sensing light in the young man, agrees to help him and becomes a crucial link between Marek and leaders like Bail Organa, Mon Mothma, and Garm Bel Iblis, helping to lay the foundation of the Rebel Alliance.

Over time, Kota regains his confidence, his sense of purpose, and his connection to the Force. He becomes a central figure in the growing Rebellion, joining the Corellian Treaty to formally establish the Alliance. When the Empire ambushes the meeting, Kota is captured and taken to the Death Star but is rescued by Marek, who sacrifices himself to save Kota and the Senators. Kota escapes and joins the Declaration of Rebellion, assuming his old role as a commanding general.

Kota continues to serve with distinction, leading missions against Imperial targets and recruiting key allies like X2, a Force-sensitive clone of his former Padawan. Despite being blind, he moves with the clarity and confidence of a seasoned Jedi, relying on the Force to guide him. His bond with Marek evolves into a surrogate father-son relationship, restoring in him the hope and conviction to fight for the galaxy’s future. A firm believer in direct military action, Kota is one of the Alliance’s most decisive and battle-hardened leaders. He wields a green lightsaber.

Appearance: Rahm Kota is a light-skinned older male with very short grey hair and deep facial wrinkles, including scars across his face. He wears silver segmented armor covering his chest, shoulders, and forearms, with visible wear and scuffing. A dark green high-collared undershirt is worn beneath the armor, and a wide, ribbed black belt secures the waist. A dark brown strap runs diagonally across his chest, and a black utility apron hangs over the front of his pants. He wears black tactical pants with armor padding on the thighs and shins, and black armored gloves. A brown cape drapes behind him from his belt.
