BACKSTORY

Ragnar was born to Nimue, a mortal woman of the mountain clans, and Sigred, a wandering storm giant warrior. Raised among brutal highland tribes near the Spine, Ragnar was taught that strength alone determines worth. As a half-blood he was forced to prove himself constantly, surviving trials that would kill most men. By adulthood he had grown larger and stronger than nearly all of his kin. Ragnar eventually challenged and killed the previous warband chief, claiming leadership and forging a feared raiding force that strikes settlements along the Spine. He harbors a deep hatred of dragons, especially Gilacxias, whom he sees as a challenge that subjugates weaker peoples. Ragnar also holds little respect for the elves of Green wood crown, believing they surrendered their pride rather than fighting their draconic ruler.
