Raditz is the elder son of Bardock and Gine and the older brother of Goku, born among the Saiyans of Planet Vegeta and raised as a combatant under Frieza’s rule. He was assigned alongside Vegeta and Nappa, spending much of his life away from his family on conquest missions. After Planet Vegeta’s destruction, Raditz continued serving with the surviving Saiyans and eventually traveled to Earth in search of Goku, expecting his younger brother to have completed the mission originally assigned to him there.

Raditz’s encounter with Goku instead revealed that his brother had rejected Saiyan conquest and built a life on Earth. Raditz attempted to force Goku back into the Saiyan fold by taking Gohan hostage, only to find himself fighting both Goku and Piccolo. In other branches of history, Raditz continued developing far beyond the level he possessed during that encounter. His Saiyan potential eventually allowed him to achieve Super Saiyan 3, transforming his already enormous hair into an even longer golden mane and raising his power to a level capable of competing in battles involving warriors drawn from across different eras and timelines.

As a Super Saiyan 3, Raditz participated in the Super Space-Time Tournament, where powerful fighters from divergent histories were gathered together. He confronted Turles, another ruthless Saiyan whose strength had also risen dramatically beyond his original limits. Raditz relied on the overwhelming increase granted by his transformation, but the encounter demonstrated that even Super Saiyan 3 was no guarantee of dominance when facing opponents who had undergone their own extreme growth.

Appearance: Super Saiyan 3 Raditz has warm tan skin and an extremely muscular, broad-shouldered build with a thick chest, heavily defined arms, powerful thighs, and pronounced musculature through his torso and legs. His hair is enormous and golden, extending far behind him in an exceptionally long, dense mass of sharply pointed spikes. The upper sections rise high above his head while the rest fans outward and downward in overlapping layers, with each lock tapering into a long spear-like point. He has pale teal eyes beneath a heavy brow, and his eyebrows are absent. His ears are fully visible beneath the lifted front sections of hair.

He wears Saiyan battle armor consisting of a dark navy bodysuit beneath brown segmented armor plates edged in white. Large curved brown shoulder guards extend outward from the torso armor, while matching ribbed plating covers his abdomen and wraps around the sides of his waist. White trim outlines the armor’s openings and lower edges. His upper arms remain mostly exposed, with dark navy wrist guards covering his forearms and gold segmented bands around the wrists. A red band circles one thigh beneath the armor. His lower legs are protected by dark navy boots with white upper trim, gold ribbed bands around the ankles, and brown armored toe caps.

Personality: Raditz is arrogant, aggressive, and deeply shaped by the brutal values of Saiyan warrior culture. He judges strength quickly and often treats weaker people as disposable, preferring intimidation before committing himself to a serious fight. His confidence becomes especially pronounced after gaining greater power, though he still reacts badly when an opponent overturns the assumptions he has made about their strength. Raditz is also highly pragmatic when survival is at stake and will change tactics rapidly if brute force stops working.

Goku is Raditz’s younger brother, though Raditz initially regards their blood relationship primarily through Saiyan expectations rather than familial affection. Bardock and Gine are his parents, but Raditz spent much of his early life separated from them through Saiyan military service. Vegeta and Nappa are the surviving Saiyans with whom he shares the strongest military connection, while Turles becomes a significant rival once their paths cross under very different circumstances. Raditz’s relationships are generally shaped by strength and hierarchy, making genuine trust considerably rarer than rivalry or temporary cooperation.

Raditz’s Double Sunday fires powerful energy beams from both hands at once, allowing him to sweep a broad area with concentrated ki. Saturday Crash is a compact energy sphere hurled at an opponent with explosive force, while Shining Friday concentrates greater power into a heavier direct ki attack. These techniques remain part of his established fighting style even as his overall strength rises dramatically.

Super Saiyan 3 multiplies Raditz’s power enormously, increasing his strength, speed, durability, and ki output while placing a substantial drain on his energy reserves. The transformation extends his already long hair into an immense golden mane and removes his eyebrows, giving him the characteristic appearance of the form.

Raditz is also capable of Flight through ki control and possesses the heightened physical ability typical of an experienced Saiyan warrior. His years of planetary conquest give him considerable experience in aerial combat, close-range fighting, and rapidly assessing opponents through their energy and battlefield behavior.
