Rachel Cole-Alves was a Marine sergeant whose wedding reception was attacked by the Exchange, leaving her the only survivor after her husband and many guests were killed. Frank Castle learned about the massacre through a detective on the case and began hunting the Exchange himself, which eventually brought him into contact with Rachel after she recovered. She joined his war against the people responsible, treating each strike like a military operation rather than a normal revenge spree.

Rachel and Frank later crossed paths with Daredevil and Spider-Man during the fight over the Omega Drive, then continued their campaign against the Exchange. After the Exchange’s leaders were killed, Rachel accidentally killed Detective Walter Bolt and was captured after trying to force police into killing her. She was sentenced to death, but Frank broke her out while the Avengers were hunting him, and Rachel later resurfaced in Los Angeles carrying on the Punisher’s mission.

Appearance: Rachel Cole has fair peach skin and a tall, athletic build with a narrow waist, full chest, strong legs, and a fitted tactical silhouette. She has short red hair swept into a loose side-parted updo, green eyes, shaped brows, and muted pink lips.

She wears an all-black combat outfit with a high-collared long-sleeved top, fitted black pants, black gloves, and heavy lace-up boots. A large pale skull emblem covers the front of her shirt, while black shoulder straps, harness pieces, and a loaded utility belt add pouches, buckles, clips, and compact gear across her torso and hips.

Her pants have reinforced seams, thigh straps, side pouches, and a dark armored knee pad on one leg.

Personality: Rachel Cole is disciplined and vengeance-driven, with her Marine training shaping the way she handles trauma after the wedding massacre. She does not treat her campaign against the Exchange like blind rage; she plans, studies targets, and uses force with military focus. Her grief turns her into someone very close to Frank Castle’s world, but she still shows more conflict over what she becomes than Frank usually allows himself. When she later takes responsibility for killing Detective Walter Bolt, she refuses to let Frank be blamed for her crimes.

Daniel Alves is the personal loss that begins Rachel’s war, since he is killed shortly after their wedding during the Exchange attack. Frank Castle becomes her most important partner because they are hunting the same organization, and he later trusts her enough to call her the one person he can still rely on. Norah Winters helps Rachel learn about the Exchange after the massacre, which pushes Rachel toward her first strike against them. Matt Murdock later defends her in court, while Black Widow tries to use her imprisonment to find Frank during the Avengers’ hunt for him.

Rachel Cole is a former Marine sergeant with combat experience, strong marksmanship, and close-quarters training, skilled enough to operate beside Frank Castle and survive missions against heavily armed criminals. She plans attacks with military discipline rather than rushing in blindly.

Her equipment is practical and weapons-focused. She uses high-powered firearms, body armor when available, and mission gear suited for raids, ambushes, and urban pursuit. Her strongest asset is not specialized technology but her ability to prepare, shoot accurately, and keep moving under fire.
