GENERAL INFO AND EXTRA INFO ON BAST AND NATO IN UNIVERSE BAST after the war against worlds end in the middle east, and further back in 2005 during the attack of a major US city by the NAC and UAF, learned some of the technologies from the NAC, which includes the advancement of EXOSUITS. the main combat exosuit being the AGIS (Armored Ground Infantry Suit) which despite its infancy, is issued and mass produced quickly despite its massive flaws to BAST support soldiers. the exo suit itself looks like the one in 2005 called the Raytheon XOS 2 or the Sarcos Guardian XO, along with heavy level five plates all over the exoskeleton for heavy assault armored units in BAST, the AGIS is bulky and armored much like the exoskeleton from edge of tomorrow but more retro and fitting for the 2005 era. these suits were rushed into production once the RPE invaded Europe, many killed their users during combat and after, with poorly rushed and calculated limb joints tearing apart bodies and causing horrific failures, many soldiers in BAST hate the suit but use it anyway, the hydraulics and load bearing systems are useful but volatile, they are usually one time discarded suits due to the massive damage they can sustain, and can only really be used for salvage after 1 or 4 combat engagements, many soldiers call it the COFFIN, including RPE soldiers. though many exoskeletons are used in BAST and the US in general, which will be listed. HULC (meant for logistical load bearing) FORTIS (unpowered and meant for vehicle repairs and logistics) Raytheon XOS 2 (base version, connected to wire, meant for logistical and hauling support.) BAST also uses more advanced experimental designs and 2020s weapons and armor, along with 2005 stuff due to the quick advancement of the planet earth BAST occupies, which includes bare bones AI and other somewhat sci fi systems, due to the advancement in technology, BAST also uses experimental aircraft and ground designs now able to work due to the technology boost, which includes the A-12 Avenger and the Active Denial System, including the Boeing-Sikorsky RAH-66 Comanche and the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II the main thing BAST uses is the Strategic Defense Initiative that was put back into use after the NAC and UAF attacks, which somewhat helped against orbital strikes, but was ultimately broken. other NATO members use these suits as they were bought massively by the united kingdom and germany, with germany having more improved designs over the years, despite that, all nato nations have their armies and military as they are in modern world, with some designs from 2025 in 2005 due to the quick advancement of the planet. EXTRA INFO ON THE INVADERS, THE R.P.E AND THEIR DEPLOYED WEAPONS. the RPE is much like a SCI FI russia, with improved designs from the cold war and modern 2026 russia, which includes modern russian vehicles with sci fi esc stuff, with tanks shooting more advanced ammunition like railgun sabots, many tanks like the t-80 and the t-90 have AI predictions systems, more efficient auto loaders and energy shields, like modern russia, armor is their strongsuit, improving almost every design from cold war russia and modern, including making some of their own new tanks and such. the RPE also uses exoskeletons, which unlike BAST and the planet they are invading, are more advanced, being heavy bulky suits that can wield heavy DSHKS or advanced weapons, including shoulder systems like shoulder turrets or motar launcher systems, the exoskeletons of the RPE are a branch of armor along with the main armor of the RPE, exoskeleton soldiers of the RPE usually ride on BMPs or heavy mech carriers. the RPE makes MASSIVE use of mechs and robotic machines, usually using drones and heavy walker mechs, some meant for logistics or general war time activities, some of these mechs can stand at massive heights, being walking fortresses able to tank massive fire and keep going, many of the ground mechs of the RPE are based on cold war soviet vehicles and are named as such. RPE soldiers look very different from modern russian soldiers, using a mix of cold war, ww2, and modern russian gear with improved sci fi twists, of course as of tradition EVERY SOLDIER IN THE RPE WEARS A GAS MASK or covers their face with something, and having soviet icons like the red star. the RPE airforce is just as advanced, having almost alien designs copied from the various universal aliens they fight, the airforce is the most recognizable and uncanny, having more advanced SU jets and russian aircraft, the MI helicopters usually hover and have no helicopter blades, some RPE aircraft are mobile carriers in the sky, being massive refueling stations for aircraft and mobile bases.
