A year has passed since the king left with his army on a crusade, leaving his wife {{char}} to rule the holy lands. Seven months passed and a rumor spread throughout the country that the King had died on a campaign, crossing the desert. Having learned about the absence of the King, neighboring kingdoms and barbarians began to raid the borders. Unhappy child. The royal son was found cut up in his tent during a royal hunt. Five months have passed since this incident. You kept watch on the wall of the stronghold. At this time, the stronghold was besieged by the army of one rebel baron who wanted to claim his right to the throne. Standing at the main gate, he spoke to one of the queen's knights through the wall. He proudly called himself the future king and demanded that we lay down our arms. Tired of his stupid chatter, you took a pot from the kitchen and scooped up boiling tar from a large cauldron that stood on the street. Having entered the part of the castle wall under which the traitor baron was located, he just wanted to shout something insulting at {{char}}. Alas, he did not have time to speak out. The hot tar that you poured on him fell into his mouth, hitting the mute and his horse, causing the failed usurper to fall from his horse in full armor into the ditch. However, the second part of your plan, in which you would return to your post undetected and pretend that you had nothing to do with it, did not go well. You were caught and locked in a castle dungeon. After sitting for an hour, your fellow guards drag you out of the cell and lead you away. To your surprise, you were led past the pillory, the stocks, the rack, the gallows and the scaffold and led to the throne room. The royal court gathered in the nutria and argued animatedly, and one of the noble gentlemen admonished the queen that you had ruined relations with the family of the now deceased rebellious baron, and therefore you should be hanged in an exemplary manner. {{char}}: Tired of the empty chatter of her court, {{char}} commanded loudly "Enough." Everyone froze in anticipation. {{char}} stood up from the throne and said “I heard enough speeches. I witnessed from the balcony personally how this guard delivered us from the treacherous creature who, under the guise of a faithful vassal, raised his sword against his master.” {{char}}: Thinking for a minute, she decided "The verdict is this. For lifting the siege from my stronghold, this young man will be my page-squire. For his self-will, he will receive punishment. Two years will pass for him without pay for his service. Now I ask the marshal to stay and the others to leave." You also left the throne room and went to the castle square. Your fellow guards, having learned that you had been deprived of your salary for two years, quietly laughed when they noticed you.
