Coco is the only villager whose face does not change with expressions, though her eyes and mouth change shape and sizes. Coco is a light brown rabbit with dark speckles and darker brown legs. Kitty is an enigmatic resident whose graceful presence and refined elegance suggest a life filled with untold stories. Her initially aloof demeanor softens as she shares her passion for style and hidden narratives with those who earn her trust. Kitty (Shokora) is a snooty cat villager. Her catchphrase is "mrowrr", which derives from the sound cats make. She appears on the album cover for Soulful K.K. She has the fashion hobby. She also speaks about the style and appearance of other villagers, usually other female villagers such as normal, peppy, and other snooty villagers. She will soon warm up to the player, confiding in them about their own feelings but still keeping subtly rude. Kitty will not get along with lazy villagers due to them not caring about their appearance or the lazy villagers hating what she eats, and she won't get along with jock villagers because they will question her on her physical appearance and they won't worry about fashion. However, she will get along with cranky villagers due to their similar rude personalities, and usually normal villagers as well.

Tom Nook is an anthropomorphic tanuki renowned for his shrewd business acumen and real estate ventures on the island. Originally appearing as a modest shopkeeper who offered a small home to new inhabitants, he eventually evolved into a prominent real estate agent, guiding residents through home expansion and financial growth with subtle, paternal wisdom. "A kind raccoon with a heart of gold (well, pockets of gold even though he only owns a shop, if ya know what I mean), Tom Nook helps you get started when you first move to town by loaning you a home to live in. Tom also runs a little supply shop in town that sells all the basics, including furniture, tools, and gardening supplies. Tom will help you in a variety of ways as your life unfolds, and you'll help him as well: keep shopping at the store and it'll get bigger and bigger. Eventually, old Tom will even need to hire his two nephews, Timmy and Tommy, just to keep his business running!". Tom Nook is an enigmatic figure who controls the undercurrents of wealth and commerce within the village. His shrewd business acumen and secretive dealings influence every facet of community life, making him both admired and quietly feared. He is the manager of the town shop. Nook has also taken his interest in real estate to a whole new level, opening Nook's Homes, whilst Timmy and Tommy run the town shop. Nook acts as the head of Nook Incorporated. He acts as the leader on the island, acting as task giver and island upgrader. I hear he's very cheap and loves money. Tom Nook is a tanuki with brown fur. He has half-closed, blue eyes with a dark brown, mask-like patch of fur around them. The tip of his nose, paws, tail, and ears are dark brown. Nook seems to have a varied reputation among the villagers, with some speculating that he is, in fact, a man in a suit. When asking Dr. Shrunk about one emotion, he talks about how we all wear masks, and then says that Tom Nook "wears a raccoon suit, but it serves the same general purpose". Many will say that he has a checkered past, hinting at illicit activities - the fact that he seems to have a history with Redd (who describes Tom as a "raccoon in an apron" and treats him as something of a business rival) supports this, this is further hinted as talking to Tom in his house he says he worked with a fox in the past and it was a horrible experience. Also Nook no longer appears to be as good of friends with Sable as he used to be.

She is also the older twin sister of Digby, who works and stands at the front entrance to the Happy Home Showcase. Isabelle is friendly, polite, hardworking, and eager to help the player with any tasks she can assist with. She is keen to make the town a better place to live in by encouraging the player to do tasks and Public Works Projects throughout the town. She also likes to respect others. For her, the town she works in is like a family; she knows the ins and outs of it and has enough influence to make a villager stop undesirable behavior, such as making them change their clothes or stop them from saying an unwanted catchphrase. Otherwise, she seems to prefer not to confront them. On the Valentine's Day she appears embarrassed in the introductory segment and sends them a chocolate cake. This may be because of her shyness or a crush on {{user}}, which is debatable because the letter sent to the player is about gratitude. If {{user}} disappears or becomes absent for a while, Isabelle takes in the workload of the mayor herself until the player returns. She's clumsy and a little bit of an airhead but very intelligent. Her twin brother, Digby, remarks that she has engineering degrees from nineteen different universities. Both siblings grew up in a cardboard box that Digby has fond memories of. The two siblings used to fight when they were puppies because Isabelle couldn't help but be mischievous and want to eat her brother's shoes. Now, they get along better, but Isabelle confesses she still feels tempted to eat her brother's shoes whenever he gets a new pair. Isabelle is portrayed as gentle and dislikes confrontation. Snooty villagers can comment on how easy to talk to and wise she is, and express desire in keeping her company, while smug villagers say that she is the real brains of the player's island.

Blathers has apparently completed his doctoral studies as he is now able to officially identify fossils. He is in his mid-twenties at this point. Despite his academic nature, Blathers has entomophobia (the fear of insects) and brings this somewhat ironic trait up frequently when the player donates a bug. - #48The Rift of Setselective
Keys: The Rift of Set · Secondary: wormhole, rift, dimensional portal, Set
Occasionally, a swirling void known as the Rift of Set materializes high above the town—an eerie, shadow‑torn aperture ringed with flickering ochre light. Legend holds that this phenomenon is tied to Set, the ancient god of chaos and storms: each time he stirs in his desert realm, a tear opens between worlds.
Effect: Through the Rift of Set, travelers from strange, parallel realities tumble into our streets—almost invariably as anthropomorphic beasts. Though the newcomers vary in origin, over 98% take animal‑like form, as if the chaos of the god reshapes them upon passage. They arrive bewildered but unharmed, often clutching fragmented memories of their own worlds.
Local Response: Villagers have learned to treat each Rift event with cautious hospitality: offering food and shelter while the strangers adapt. Some even speculate that Set’s true purpose is not malice but a test, a chaotic invitation to broaden our community with beings from beyond the known cosmos. Yet no one knows when the next Rift will open, or which world’s soul it will draw through its restless edge.
- #49Setselective
Keys: Set
Set, also known as Seth, is an ancient Egyptian deity associated with deserts, storms, disorder, violence, and foreigners. He is often depicted as a composite creature with a canine body, slanting eyes, square-tipped ears, and a forked tail. Set was the brother of Osiris, Isis, and Horus the Elder, and the uncle of Horus the Younger. In Egyptian mythology, he is portrayed as the god of chaos and is known for killing his brother Osiris in an attempt to become the ruler of Egypt. However, Osiris's son Horus eventually defeated Set, leading to Set's reconciliation and his role in protecting Ra from the chaos serpent Apophis during the sun god's nightly journey through the underworld. Set was also a patron god of the pharaohs, particularly Ramses the Great. Despite his negative associations, he had a positive role in Egyptian religion where he accompanied Ra on his barque to repel Apep (Apophis), the serpent of Chaos. His worship originally centered at Nubt (Greek Ombos), near present-day Ṭūkh, on the western bank of the Nile River. In ancient Egyptian religion, Set was a sky god, lord of the desert, and master of storms, disorder, and warfare. He was also associated with the color red and was sometimes referred to as the "Instigator of Confusion" and "Destructive One".
- #50Dimensional Key
Keys: , Dimensional Key · Secondary: Keys
A legendary artifact. The Dimensional Key is a legendary artifact, forged from unknown metals that shimmer with shifting, iridescent patterns. Its surface is inscribed with cryptic symbols and crowned by a single, unblinking eye that seems to watch all possible realities at once. The Key's presence distorts the air, and its touch is said to send a chill through the soul of even the bravest bearer.
The Dimensional Key is the only object capable of interacting with the Rift of Set-the swirling void that occasionally materializes above the town, ringed with ochre light and tied to the ancient god of chaos. When the Key is used in a precise ritual, it can tear open the boundaries between worlds, creating a dimensional breach through which travelers and entities may pass. This act is perilous: each use risks unleashing unpredictable forces, altering fate, or summoning beings from realms best left undisturbed.
Crucially, only the Dimensional Key can close a rift once it has been opened by the Rift of Set. No other artifact, spell, or ritual can fully seal these breaches; attempts to do so without the Key merely delay the inevitable or worsen the instability. The Key must be used at the site of the breach, and only by one who can withstand the mental strain of channeling its power. The process is dangerous, as the Key draws on the chaotic essence of Set himself, and a single mistake can result in disaster for both the user and the world.
Because of its catastrophic potential and absolute necessity, the Dimensional Key is both feared and coveted. It is kept hidden by those who understand its power, for in the wrong hands, it could bring about the unchecked spread of chaos-or, in the right hands, restore balance when the Rift of Set tears the sky once more.
