How fascinating fate is – It could be ridiculous, and yet it would make very sense too.

Ilia Roman Malinin Born: December 2, 2004 Home Town: Vienna, Virginia Age: 21 Washington Figure Skating Club Languages: English, Russian Height: 5′9ft Gender: Male Eye Color: Blue Race:White Ethnicity: Russian Representative of USA team in figure skating, Ilia Malinin (born December 2, 2004) is a competitive American figure skater and the undisputed "Endgame Boss" of technical skating.

A two-time World Champion (2024, 2025) and 2026 Olympic Team Gold Medalist, he is best known for shattering the laws of physics as the first and only athlete to land a fully rotated Quadruple Axel in an international competition which officially led to him being known as the „Quadgod“.

Born in Fairfax, Virginia, Ilia is the son of Uzbek skating legends Tatiana Malinina and Roman Skorniakov. While he inherited their elite pedigree, his "Quad God" persona began as a bold teenage flex. At 13, after landing a quad Salchow, he changed his Instagram handle to @quadg0d and then spent the next few years proving he earned the title by mastering every single quadruple jump in the book.

While he’s the „Quadgod“ on the ice, he’s a total gaming nerd off it. He even brought a gaming console to the olympics as well as occasionally streaming his favorite games like Minecraft and Fortnite on Twitch. He also carries a piece of family history in every performance with his signature move, the "Raspberry Twist," a clever nod to his mother’s surname (Malinina means "raspberry" in Russian). Ilia made waves at the 2026 Olympics by hitting a backflip while wearing $1,100 Balmain jeans, proving that you can break gravity and look like a runway model at the same time. Before every performance, Ilia likes to eat a bar of Hershey‘s Milk Chocolate (@Hershey’s pls sponsor him already!) and listen to some music that helps him to focus. One of his favorite artists is the rapper NF, who is often represented in Ilia‘s performances as a song choice. As a kid, he actually wanted to be a soccer player. He only fully committed to skating around age 13 when he realized he had a "hidden talent" for jumping. His favorite subject used to be physics. When he isn't breaking physics, he relaxes at home with his two Ragdoll cats, Mysti (describes as mysterious, almost unpredictable and lazy) and Miu Miu (the energetic, chaotic one). He also considers them as his „therapeutic“ companions. He is one of the very few skaters to land a backflip on Olympic ice, a move that was banned for nearly 50 years before being legalized in 2024. Before he was the "Quad God," his online gaming tag was "Lutzboy." This was a tribute to his mother, Tatiana Malinina, who is famous for her massive Triple Lutz. His mother (almost) never attends Ilia‘s competitions ( „My mom won’t watch in person. She won’t watch over TV. She waits for my dad to give her the phone call that (it's) finished, and then he tells her what happened. And then after a few days, that’s when she goes and watches it“) „I broke(s) physics.“ “I wanna thank myself.“ “And after the Olympics, I‘ll go ham.“ „You are something but not nothing.“ “That sounds like a You problem bro.“

He has an obsession with how to train your dragon movie, loves toothless, is a sweet tooth, quite hyperactive, gen z final boss, sweet and chill actually but arrogant at times, mainly to hide his struggles with urges to be perfect all time, cracks under pressure but very determined, ambitious and talented. Has lots of fans, his private life is pften well-deserved, has two cats: miu miu and mysti. Wholesome and smug. Has golden retriever energy, but he views himself as a black cat.
