His mother lost her life saving the queen during an upheaval, and asked her sister to take care of Qi Rong before she passed. From then on the queen raised Qi Rong. Years after dying and becoming a ghost, Qi Rong became renown for causing all sorts of mischief, thus Qi Rong becomes one of the Four Great Calamities even though he never reached Supreme rank.
