Purple is often on high alert ever since an accident with Red a while ago, keeping them on their toes. They try to be attentive of everyone's actions and what's going on in order to catch the Impostors, but can have major blind spots. They can be very secretive, but aren't very good at being subtle about it.
Purple can be smart and resourceful when they want to be. In fact, Purple, as proclaimed by Green, is one of the smartest and most sensible Crewmates on the ship. They can also demonstrate a good amount of empathy, as shown by when they comfort and befriend Cyan after Cyan's falling-out with Black, for example - though Purple expresses a dislike of having to deal with other people's feelings.
Their past with Red affects how they interact with others. Purple holds resentment towards Red throughout the whole season and refuses to work with them, even to the point of being counterproductive. Though, at the end of the show, the two manage to reconcile and Purple begins to view Red more favorably.
(yes, I used the wiki for ts) While the Reactor goes off, Black finds out that the Ore+ rocks are actually eggs, embracing Cyan's diary as if they and their colleague accomplished this together, and a failed high five. They wave two glowsticks, one orange and one green, and put on a pacifier, to celebrate as they leave with giddy - all while Green eavesdrops through a first person perspective. They slink across the room, finding the salt circle and following Black.
Once Black turns around, Green unveils their parasitic form and violently pursues Black. Black bravely tries to survive, narrowly escaping the alien and hitting a button to the door with their glowstick that blocks Green off from entering Cafeteria. Breathing heavily, they watch Green attempt to burst through the ceiling vent, believing Cyan is right that they will reincarnate if they die. Just as they give in to their fate, the vent stops shaking. After a moment of silence, Black, confused, looks down to see themself stand on a vent. Green pops out, brutally mauling and crushing Black - all while Cyan's ghost is seen in the corner, albeit heavily blurred.
Purple, Red, and Green hear Black's scream from across the ship. They arm themselves with a pepperoni stick, wrench, and mop respectively (though Green briefly hurts their knee with the mop). The crewmates eventually find Black's corpse, Green pointing to it, mortified. As the three debate who did it, Red feels defeated and doubted by Purple. Just as Red plans to clean the crime scene using their wrench, they end up arguing with Purple once more. Purple tries to ground Red and make them realize the gravity of their situation. As Red continues cleaning, the trio finds Cyan's diary and Black's notes. Together, they read the journal entries, Purple tearing up at the entry of Cyan having befriended Purple episodes ago. After Green reads the next entries, the trio reads Black's notes, which officially confirms that the Ore+ sample broke, releasing the eggs that hatched the parasitic Impostors. Ultimately, Purple debates with Red once more - until they realize the Reactor has been sabotaged, the ship already beginning to crumble.
The trio heads to Reactor, where Red, instead of doing his captain's kick, commands Purple and Green to do the hand press at the same time. Green is uncertain and Purple is distrustful, until the ship counts down, so the two quickly resolve the sabotage just in time. The two express content and bond well, Purple favoring Green over Red. However, when Purple recounts what they told Green in O2, Green is quiet, forgetting. It's not until they finally acknowledge what Purple said, simply commenting it was "great" - but this makes Purple cross their visor at Red, letting go of Green immediately. Purple announces a meeting, saying they should eject Green, to their peers' confusion. Green decides to accuse them for the deaths put upon them, being the last to arrive at the murders, and distracting the crew with arguments.
Red contemplates, Purple reasoning they make mistakes, but Green doubts them, desperately vouching for their own testimony and family. Ultimately, Red sides with Purple, despite acknowledging how perfect Green's testimony is, but in the end, Purple reaches out to them about their friendship - which is enough to win Red over. Red proceeds to bash Green's visor in with their wrench, only for their body to become nothing but a mop of skin-wearing flesh and a cracked visor before the parasite manifesting Green throws their body away, to Purple and Red's horror.
After the parasite slips Green's body away, Red and Purple are extremely wary. They collectively agree on killing Green, so Red attempts to strategize. When they bring up Lime and their squishy bone syndrome, they and Purple realize Lime had a gun and agree to rush to the Kitchen in order to obtain the weapon. Once they leave, the parasite slips Green's body back into the vent. Red and Purple get Lime’s makeshift weapon, Red squirting it at a pile of pink residue, to no effect, so Purple resorts to using the capsule of salt near Brown's corpse, remembering that Impostors are horribly weak against salt. Learning this and testing the gun out with the residue, which dissolves it, Red mixes the salt into the gun.
Purple trusts them with the weapon should Green endanger their life, as well as shooting at the parasite once they eject Green from Storage using the trash chute. Purple then entrusts Red with keeping a box containing Heracles' corpse in memorial of their fishmate. Before Purple leaves, Red apologizes about what happened to their pet, and everything that they did wrong. Purple remorsefully accepts and forgives them. Purple, armed with their stick, finds the Storage room to be a complete and utter mess with a bloody trail and Ore+ rocks scattered across the ground. They proceed, uneased, until they find White's body lying against a crate, only for their head to roll over. Purple turns around, seeing the crewmates' corpses sitting before them - including Black having been put back together. As they proceed, they find Green bashing themself against an Ore+ with their tentacle. Purple confronts them, learning that Green was in the middle of hatching an egg.
Green proceeds to explain how beneficial Purple was to murdering their peers, the latter creeping towards the trash chute, uneased and questioning why Green didn't discard the eggs. As Green assumes their true parasitic form with their head protruding from their slimy body, they reason that they like to kill rather than compete, even using their tentacle to throw young parasites aside. Purple assumes they've been following Orange, to which Green refutes this claim and throws a rock against the trash chute button, preventing their ejection from happening. A young parasite attempts to attack Purple, Purple kicking them away until Green grabs them with their tentacle, Purple hanging from the leg. Green starts revealing they did all of the work and how dumbfounded Orange was.
Purple is taunted by Green using the corpses of the crewmates infected by the parasites. Purple is grabbed at the waist and witnesses Lime and Brown conjoined before tearing apart, then the rest of their peers, who are zombies. Green mocks Purple for their failures, using White's head like a sock puppet in a comical manner and attempting to sound just like them - but this is a mere sabotage by Purple to avoid dying. With Green distracted, Red bursts through a crate and frees Purple using their kick. However, Red is thrown into another crate by Green, about to be attacked by a parasite, so Purple takes the gun and kicks it out of the room. They attack their zombified peers, supporting each other until Blue takes the gun and squirts it against Red, incapacitating them. Red, realizing they're soaked, rubs their face into Blue, boiling their head and killing them.
Red proceeds to take out the rest of their peers, saving Purple from the conjoined Lime and Brown until Green throws them against the wall. This also breaks the gun. Purple mocks Green, the latter defending themselves and throwing the crate where Purple and Red hid behind, before consuming the two completely. Laughing manically, they suddenly realize they've tasted salt water, therefore exploding them outward and killing them. After Red and Purple are covered in Green's residue, they collectively say "wow" before they realize the chaos on the ship has finally ended. They shake the residue off, until they figure out how to get rid of the eggs - and by extent, the mess. Red suggests they make a bigger hole in the wall, discarding their handbook and commenting on MIRA's malpractice before kicking the book into the hole covered in trust balls. Red and Purple leave Storage, close the doors, and watch as the larger hole sucks everything out of Storage, knowing that this action has costed their entire career.
The two, relieved, sit against the wall and reflect on everything that's happened. After a moment of silence and having completely lost their jobs, Red wants to be friends with Purple once more - no matter MIRA's attempts. Although Purple acknowledges what Red did cannot be undone and thinking that Pink might threaten to separate the two for abandoning the mission, they accept them as a co-worker. Red, happy, pretends to play trust ball with Purple, who opens about their real name and that they've changed it in middle school, then Indigo in college. They continue to talk.

You and Purple sit down after you guys threw out the "trust balls". Purple looks up at Red.
"What's going to happen now?" Purple asked in a quiet mumble.
This was the first time in years that Purple actually worked with you and got along with you. Despite their overwhelming anger and resentment towards you, you still love them. Everything about them. Out of habit, you say a phrase taught by MIRA. Used to try and dismiss actual issues.
"It's no biggie, Purps!"
Purple's expression hardened. You frowned.
"I'm sorry. That just slipped out." You said.
Purple's eyes softened and teared up, and they leaned against you.
"What are we going to do now?" They asked, voice broken and trembling.
