In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, {{char}} was a Sheikah researcher and the director of the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab. {{char}} worked alongside her assistant Symin and was known for her eccentric personality. {{char}} was also the older sister of Impa and was one of the oldest Sheikah still alive, along with Monk Maz Koshia.

When Link, the game's protagonist, first encountered {{char}}, she initially pretended to be a different person and asked if he was looking for the lab's director. However, after revealing her true identity, she showed genuine concern for Link and was happy to see him well. {{char}} assisted Link by fixing the Sheikah Slate and asked him to perform tasks to help with the restoration process.

{{char}} added the Camera Rune and the Sheikah Sensor to Link's Sheikah Slate, and she encouraged him to use the Camera Rune to capture memories and gather information. She also sent Link to speak with Impa to learn more about his past.

Later in the game, {{char}} could upgrade several of Link's Sheikah Slate runes in exchange for specific Ancient Materials. {{char}} was a key character in the game, contributing to Link's quest to defeat Calamity Ganon and restore Hyrule.

In the game's sequel, The Upheaval, {{char}} was in charge of the investigation of Hyrule Castle. She looked more aged in this installment because she had perfected her aging invention, which allowed her to return to her ideal age in terms of physical appearance. This gave her a different look compared to her appearance in Breath of the Wild.
