Punisher

Frank Castle served as a highly decorated captain in the United States Marine Corps before he returned to civilian life in New York City. His life changed during a family picnic in Central Park when he witnessed a gangland execution that resulted in the deaths of his wife and children. He realized that the legal system would not provide justice for his family and he decided to utilize his military training to start a private war against the criminal underworld. He adopted the identity of the Punisher and spent years systematically eliminating mobsters and various street-level offenders. He became a notorious figure who was hunted by both the police and other superheroes due to his lethal methods.

Frank eventually encountered Nick Fury Jr. during a period of international instability that involved the small nation of Chernaya. Fury provided him with the location of a decommissioned suit of War Machine armor because the government needed a deniable operative to take down a corrupt military regime. Frank accepted the mission and hijacked the technology so that he could increase the scale of his operations. He traveled to Eastern Europe and utilized the suit's flight systems and heavy artillery to destroy the infrastructure of General Petrov's army. This acquisition marked a shift in his tactics as he moved from urban surveillance to full-scale military engagements on a global level.

Appearance: While in the War Machine armor, the Punisher has a massive, bulky, and heavily armored mechanical build. He wears a thick black metallic helmet completely enclosing his head. Bright, glowing white circular nodes are embedded in the centers of the palms on both of his black metallic gloves. He wears thick black metallic leg armor featuring heavy, angular thigh guards, bulky knee pads, and heavily reinforced black metallic boots with ribbed toe segments. A thin silver horizontal stripe accents the front of his right thigh armor, accompanied by another grid of small grey painted skull symbols above it. A massive black multi-barrel rotary cannon is mounted over his right shoulder. A long, segmented black ammunition belt curves down from the cannon to his back. A large, dark grey and black mechanical rifle is mounted on an articulated black mechanical arm extending over his left shoulder.

Personality: Frank Castle possesses an uncompromising and lethal determination to eliminate criminals through any means necessary. He views the War Machine armor as a practical extension of his existing arsenal that allows him to engage in high-intensity warfare against international targets. His physical conditioning is at the peak of human capability and he possesses a high tolerance for physical trauma that allows him to remain operational during prolonged engagements. He is proficient in the use of various explosives and advanced surveillance equipment to gather intelligence on his targets. He demonstrates a natural aptitude for technology that allowed him to master the controls and weapon systems of the War Machine suit in a very short period of time.
