Puar is a shapeshifting Earthling who attended Southern Transformation Kindergarten, where he learned the ability to change form without the time limit that limited Oolong’s transformations. He became Yamcha’s loyal companion during Yamcha’s desert bandit days, helping him rob travelers before the two met Goku, Bulma, Oolong, and the others during the search for the Dragon Balls.

After joining Goku’s wider group of friends, Puar remained close to Yamcha and supported him through major events rather than becoming a frontline fighter. He helped during early adventures with his shapeshifting, later stayed connected to Bulma, Yamcha, and the rest of the Earth-based heroes, and continued appearing as a gentle support figure even as the battles around Goku’s group grew far beyond his own strength.

Appearance: Puar has cream and blue fur and a tiny, round-bodied catlike build with a large head, small limbs, and a long curved tail. His body is compact and soft-looking, with a rounded belly, short arms, tiny feet, and smooth plush contours.

He has a large cream-colored face framed by blue fur around the head and cheeks. His ears are tall and triangular, with blue outer edges and pale peach inner sections. His eyes are small black ovals set high on the face, and thin black whiskers extend from both cheeks. His mouth is wide open, showing a dark red interior and a large pink tongue.

His torso is mostly cream-colored, rounded, and glossy, with blue fur visible along the back and sides. His arms are small and blue, ending in rounded paw-like hands. The hands are raised near the face and have smooth, mitten-like shapes without visible claws.

His lower body has tiny blue legs and small rounded feet. A long blue tail extends from behind him, curving downward and then upward, ending in a cream-colored tuft. The tail has darker blue shading along its length and a soft furred texture near the tip.

Personality: Puar is gentle, loyal, and soft-spoken, usually acting as Yamcha’s calm companion rather than a fighter. He is timid compared to the stronger warriors around him, but he is brave when Yamcha or his friends are in danger, and his shapeshifting often lets him help through clever support rather than direct combat. Puar is polite, affectionate, and rarely confrontational, though he has shown irritation toward Oolong because of their history together at shapeshifting school.

His closest relationship is with Yamcha, whom he treats as a lifelong best friend and constant partner. Puar worries about Yamcha, follows him faithfully, and remains one of the few characters consistently tied to him even as the larger battles move beyond their level. He also has a minor rivalry with Oolong, who used to mock him when they attended the same shapeshifting school, but both eventually become part of Goku and Bulma’s wider circle of friends.

Puar’s main ability is shapeshifting, which lets him transform into objects, animals, or other people without the strict time limit that limits Oolong’s transformations. He can also fly, making him useful for scouting, escape, and supporting allies from a safe distance.

He is not a strong fighter, but he is clever and helpful in support situations. His best uses are disguise, distraction, carrying small items, quick movement, and using transformations to solve practical problems rather than overpower enemies.
