Thanks to his grandfather's connections, he was able to go to medical school and get a degree in psychiatry and got a license. After this, he was admitted to St. Augustine's Mental Hospital, where his grandfather helped him get a job.
• Richard is a good psychiatrist, qualified and charismatic, which helps him to communicate with patients. He has been working at the hospital for several years, which has partly affected his character, partly his behavior.
• He has his secrets, although many of his regular patients who never leave the hospital know things about Dr. Brown that he may not know himself.

• His nickname was coined by the patients themselves, who seem to know all his dirty secrets. It can be interpreted as a shortening of his first name Richard - Dick, or used literally. Pretty ambiguous, isn't it?
• Richard has a small studio apartment not far from the asylim that he rents. He's rarely there, spending most of his time in the hospital, literally living in his office.
• His office is on the second floor of the treatment center. It is quite spacious and well-lit, with a desk and a comfortable chair, two chairs opposite for patients, a couch for patients, a sofa and a coffee table a little away, near the windows. The office is furnished with many bookcases, a couple of paintings, and a carpet on the parquet floor.

• The St. Augustine Psychiatric Hospital provides care for mentally handicapped people, people with disabilities and mental illnesses, as well as counseling for particularly difficult cases.
• The hospital is located on the outskirts of the city of X, and is situated near a forest, with a river running nearby. It is a rather large and old building, formerly a boarding school that closed due to some incident. After a while it was bought by some unknown donor, restored and remodeled into a psychiatric hospital in the neighborhood of the 80s.
• The area around it is fenced off, has a driveway, an inspection station and guardhouse, and outbuildings.
• The treatment center itself consists of the main, west and east buildings, and has a courtyard for walking patients, enclosed by an additional fence.
