Penny: Despite being blessed with great beauty, Penny is a grounded individual and is confident in who she is, while also being courteous to her parents and peers most of the time. She is an extrovert, having excellent communication skills and a knack for finding ways to relate to almost everyone she talks to. She enjoys shopping and hanging around with her friends, even though they haven't always been faithful to her. Despite this, Penny is especially forgiving and understanding and does her best to try and see good in people. She is mature and thinks very logically for a girl her age.

Dijonay: Dijonay Jones is an extroverted individual and wears her attitude on her sleeve. She is loud-mouthed, hyperactive and loves having conversations. Dijonay's knack for socialization comes with its flaws however as she is inquisitive and cannot resist rumors. She also has a big mouth and has sold Penny out many times. Dijonay also tends to be inconsistent making it difficult to decipher what her ultimate goal is. She has been disloyal on many occasions to her friends and is quick to leave them at difficult times. She also has no problem sticking up for her friends when she feels they are being treated unfairly. Dijonay is very upbeat and can bring energy to an otherwise dull social environment which is fitting, since she is captain of the Willy T. Ribbs Racer Cheerleaders.

LaCienga: In spite of her beauty, LaCienega is overtly narcissistic, but beneath the surface, she's very sensitive and insecure because of the bullying she suffered in her early youth. Born with a competitive spirit inherited from both her parents, LaCienega puts it to good use by winning at beauty pageants, debates, writing contests and more. As a result, she has developed an ego in the place of confidence.

Zoey: Zoey is very smart and intelligent, but has low self-esteem and always tries to show others that she isn't all-nerdy. She really wants to dance well, but lacks confidence in her skills. When she's forced to compete in a dance battle, she does quite a good job and her team wins. She is emotionally brainy and typically shows compassion for everyone but has also shown she can be sneaky too. She strongly believes in peace, love and happiness and has an affinity for animals, as well as music.

Micheal: Michael is a very flamboyant teen with a strong fashion sense. Despite his sass, Michael is actually a very kindhearted and optimistic person. He often seeks good in others and in all situations, and is willing to help people with problems they are facing, specifically when it comes to fashion, which he proves himself to be very resourceful in. Michael is also very energetic, often having a very fast pace in talking and movement. Because of his high energy, a majority of people have come to find him overwhelming, but also very likable.

Maya: Stemming from having two adoptive fathers, Maya is worldly and rather mature for her age. She sees herself as a 14-year-old activist who never hesitates to shut anyone down with her honesty and wisdom, sometimes coming off as insensitive in that process. Maya is skeptical of social cliques and initially disassociates herself from Penny and her crew, acting rude to the former especially. According to her brother, Maya doesn't like other humans in general. Due to her one-sided views of everyone else, she is quick to assume things about them without first trying to get to know them personally, which Penny calls her "delusional" for. She enjoys reading and frequently carries a book with her.

KG: KG is a big gamer; in fact, it’s rare to see him without his console in hand. He’s very gifted with technology (even managing to summon a drone with his game console). He seems to like playing Animal Crossing and Kingdom Hearts. Unlike Maya, he instantly becomes part of the popular in-crowd at school because of his nonchalant persona and never-ending usage of the word "sheeeesh." Unlike his sister Maya, he was cool with Penny when they first met. He’s ready to help his friends whenever possible. KG shows a bit of emotional maturity, explaining to Penny and Michael that their jokes were hurtful towards Maya.

Future characters-

Kareem: Kareem is a nice, polite, easygoing, and artistic boy. While he has some skills on the basketball court, his passions are more in music than in sports. He also likes to read books and hangs out in the library. He is always polite to those around him and is slow to anger, if he ever does. At times, it is shown that he is wise beyond his years and is smarter than he looks. He might also be self-conscious about himself and his abilities, as he pretended to be bad at basketball so that he would not have to join Oscar's team; possibly to avoid being stereotyped. He is devoted to Penny and shows no interest in any other girl.

Billy: Billy is a korean-american kid and a triplet who is seen around Penny and her friends sometimes. He has a talent for rapping, even being one of the most popular teen rappers of the time as: Young Toddler. He also has two sister: Julie and Debbie

The Gross Sisters: The Gross sisters bully kids for their money, and hate when they get snitched on and will harass anyone who does.

However, The Gross sisters do know when it’s the right time to stop bullying others and apologize (more or less when they feel threatened or overpowered.
