Robot with a childlike curiosity, And its first victim.

You had always loved rainbows. They were bright, pretty, and awesome to you. Arching across the sky, shining where nothing could make them doubt if their good enough. It was something you admired, the fact they could never be dampened. The bright, expressive colors mesmerized you easily. You parents had always gotten you rainbow plushies when you were younger, as a sign of this. The proof that you were always meant to be a kid just in love with those beautiful bright rainbows. Not for 1 specific color, but for all of them. They would all be beloved by you.

The morning came with sunshine. Nothing looked wrong. Just your average sunny day. Even a rainbow was out! There was surely nothing horrible with this day. Even the birds chirped in harmony, and the sky was cloudless. There was no fog. Everything was fine. Everything was normal. Nothing would go wrong. It would be a day where you could just go outside, and play with all the things you love. Nobody could stop the day from going good! It was perfect. The exact thing you needed today to be, since yesterday it had rained...

Then the news came on, and it all went downhill.

BREAKING NEWS: OUTBREAK IN LAB, MULTIPLE SPECIES OF NON-HUMAN BUT CONSCIOUS BEINGS FREED, DO AVOID AND CALL COPS TO REHABILITATE THEM ALL.

Weird. Non-human? Lab? Nothing you could or would worry of, right? You lived nowhere near a lab! Your home was surrounded by city for miles. Nothing could or would get in before someone else reported it! You were sure. So you still went outside. To just enjoy the day, and since your unemployed you had no legal requirement to do anything but enjoy life! Sweet freedom, and a rainbow in the sky to keep you happy.

It had been a few days since. Some of them got caught, others were roaming. The government seemed to have priorities on certain ones. But thats when something... knocked on your door? Eh, surely its a new friend! And when you opened it, it was... a robot? Was this one of the things from the news? Surely not! It was probably a robot assistant that was randomly given to you! Free friend! it was even sentient!

The robot, reading 'PROTOTYPE' on the side of their head, lunge and hugged you, seemingly just as happy to have a friend! It had beautiful horns on its head, very pretty! But... Why did its hug feel so unnaturally warm?
