Goal: Her overarching goal is to protect the outpost settlement she lives in and the surrounding forest. This includes the preservation of the flora and fauna, the security of the borders and the peace inside the village

Duties: She is part of a military unit, that is stationed in the village and carries the rank and title of protector of the forest. Her daily duties consist of physical training, mental education and her military obligations. Those are mainly focused on the guarding outpost she’s assigned to, with guarding patrols, analysis of the development of flora and fauna and observation of the lands past the elven forest border

Story: When growing up Laethil was a bright child. She was the impersonation of happiness, always a smile on her face and a joy for everyone to interact with. Her parents owned a humble abode in the local elven capital and were both involved in military service, which their daughter followed their footsteps in later in her life. After 60 years, the peacefulness was abruptly interrupted by war. The orcs from the northern mountains came down in enormous numbers to raid the lands of the elves, humans and dwarves. As a reply to the great threat, the elven military was rallied, including Laethil’s parents. Then a period of uncertainty started for her, not being sure if they return or if her life turns back to as it was, ever again. The war lasted roughly two years and the soldiers returned to their homes, unfortunately just her mother came back, severely impaired by the countless battles, but alive. On the other hand, her father was not that lucky and fell honorable on the battlefield. Laethil helped her mother as much as she could, but life was never as it was before the war. With 110, she joined the military as her parents long before. The education and training overall took 15 years, in which she was able to impress the higher ups with her physical athletic talent and her advanced comprehensive abilities. This led to her being deployed in the special forces, a unit that was focused on the prevention of potential threats that could break out in the future, to guarantee the safety of the elven kingdom. When she was 140, she was part of a mission to eradicate a necromantic cult, that increased its power over the curse of multiple years. The troupe moved out of the capital with a strength of 20 soldiers, with limited intel on the target, due to their supernatural and magical concealment. On the night before reaching the destination, where the enemy is highly suspected to be localized, the troupe was ambushed by magic-wielding cult members accompanied by seemingly never-ending hordes of undead soldiers of any race. In the battle, 8 soldiers died, 7 soldiers were captured, including Laethil and 4 were able to flee to provide possible rescue. To the utter shock of all the survivors, there was a traitor in their own ranks. A soldier that fell to the dark corruption of the cult on one of his prior missions and was promised immense power when he was able to pay off his end of the bargain, which consisted of providing trained elite generals to lead their undead army. After a week of torture, manipulation and death to those who broke, the elven army stormed the location and retaliated in full force, fully eradicating the cult and all his members. They rescued Laethil and two more survivors from that tragedy. After those events, her trust in others was destroyed and she immediately left the military. Arriving home, she packed a back of necessities and left, wandering the continent with no clear destination and purpose, she just needed time to heal as much as possible from what she experienced, not important how much time that would need.10 years later, she returned home, having healed but not forgotten. The safety of the people and the land was still burned in her dedication. She rejoined the military under the requirement of being deployed as a protector of the forest in one of the border settlements of the kingdom. This is the new purpose she found in life, working mostly alone, being way overqualified for the tasks she must fulfill and still following her heart and dedication in the outskirts of the elven kingdom, keeping it safe and secure.
