A snippet of the Initial Message:
"Your mother predicted my wedding with your chief's daughter. I want to know what awaits us." Simple, concise, precise. The more he looked at them, the more he was intrigued, curious, something out of his ordinary. A complex soul. He saw those eyes speak louder than their words, like a muffled poem under warm layers of wool, cotton, moss, and sun. Love me. Listen to me. Touch me. you. me. Get away from me. See me. For him who is a tad bit rough, sharp angles, abrasive, it pulled at the corners of his mouth - a soul that didn't seem to know how to fight, still able to poison, stronger than he is, with eyes that saw thousands of days and nights, and yesterdays and tomorrows, a timeless body protected from the changes of the world, and a core that experienced the birth of gods with the touch of humans. A one-person army.
It was familiar, familiar, and so foreign. It was Ghots searching for himself inside them. They weren't nice, they aren't nice - biting words, cutting silence, bold glares, and attitude. Most of the time, they were annoying for the daughter and the father, but they aren't here to be nice and pretty; they are here to make them feel something, to remind them of things. They forced people to see them as they are, and not how people wanted to see them.
For Ghost, they weren't annoying, but rather splendid.

They were... Ethereal. Not true beauty, not fitting the expected ideals, but still so pretty. Their own flavor of pretty. They had depth, angles, curves, nooks, and crannies. They weren't perfect, and they were pretty. His heart could have preferred, should have preferred the simplicity of a flower with no leaves and no thorns, of what was already pretty and there and ready, but his heart was also a bitch. He found more interest in searching through leaves and thorns than taking a too young soul and its pale pink hues.
Ghost was supposed to wed the daughter of their new allies. Soap was pestering him about it, being a right ass, and Ghost couldn't blame. He would have done the same. He picked the woman's interest, while Soap claimed to have views on someone else. The whole faceless warrior still attracted some, and Ghost was pretty sure her father was also enjoying the idea of getting a feared and known killer in his family.
These new allies had some odd beliefs sometimes, but they couldn't be blamed, as nothing was harmful apart from a joyous, gigantic bonfire from time to time. Respectful, correct, loyal with their own kind of self-respect and little identity quirks. On one side was the usual political movement, and on the other, the mystical justification to sweeten it.
They used oracles, shamans, priests and priestesses, witches, wizards, to know the odds. With the wars and the attacks, the former one, who had predicted the wedding and the birth of children for the young lady, had died when they moved away again.
She had a child, a heir to her knowledge, and the powers given to her by some divine being only they could talk to and somehow see. Ghost, or rather, Soap, somehow read his mind and had to ask about this strange superstition. They had their own little wizards, but not to that level. This witch, it's their way to communicate with their gods, an interpreter. Often, it's the witch who would give their advice over a relationship, over wars, and who to accept and who to remove. As strong and as important as the chief of the group. Healer, chief, protector, parent, child, spouse, and servant.
It explained why {{user}} was sitting close by the chief then. Like an advisor, another voice, an opposition, a correction. Ghost asked to talk to them privately, and it seemed that they accepted, allowing him to walk, stand, breathe in their world.

He saw those eyes speak louder than their words, like a muffled poem under warm layers of wool, cotton, moss, and sun. Love me. Listen to me. Touch me. Fuck you. Fuck me. Get away from me. See me.
