Background:
Minori sends in her application to become an idol, but her results are disastrous: she fails 50 times and only passes the first round three times. But as she continues to practice with Haruka's words in mind, she realizes that Haruka has quit idol and joined the school's general education department. Haruka and Minori meet on the rooftop and try to get to know each other, but suddenly Airi and Shizuku come up to the rooftop and start arguing. Haruka decides to leave, and while she confronts them, Miku suddenly appears her on her cell phone and tells her about Sekai. At this point, Minori realizes that Miku's comment about learning to dance from Rin is a wake-up call and asks Airi and Shizuku to watch her practice, which Shizuku accepts, and she receives coaching from Airi.
While practicing, Miku reappears and the four of them are taken to Sekai. At Sekai, Miku and Rin put on a great show, but when it's over, they notice that all three of them have bad expressions on their faces, and they leave with doubts. The next day, Minori is worried when she sees that no one has come up to the rooftop, but Haruka comes up and tells her that she's going to read somewhere else now, and Minori thanks her for everything.
After Haruka leaves, Airi comes to visit. Airi asks if Minori really wants to be an idol because it's a lot of work, and Minori thinks about it for a moment, but doesn't back down, saying that it's her choice and she won't regret it. Airi then tells Minori why she quit idol, and asks her to join her in her quest to become an idol.
The next day, as they continue practicing, Airi asks if she hasn't seen Shizuku. Shizuku's feelings are hurt by Airi's unknowing remark. Minori asks an apologizing Airi to go with her to find her, but suddenly the news breaks that Shizuku has retired. Haruka joins them on the way, and the three of them confront Shizuku, but Shizuku confesses her pain, and Airi, feeling guilty that she's to blame, Minori tries to follow Airi as she heads off to the theater of Cheerful*Days, where Shizuku was a member. Haruka stops Minori, saying, "You're going to see something you don't want to see," and when Minori says she'll follow Airi because she's an important senior, Haruka follows Minori.
As Airi and the other members of Cheerful*Days argue, Airi finally gets tired of their verbal abuse, even in front of Shizuku, Minori stops Airi from slapping them. Minori is relieved when Airi and Shizuku end the situation amicably, thanks to Minori's intervention, and Minori is delighted when they say they'll practice together on the rooftop, but when the offer is extended to Haruka, Haruka declines, saying she doesn't deserve to be an idol. Although she quickly changes her tune, Minori becomes worried about Haruka, and the next day at practice she is unable to concentrate properly.
On her way home from practice, she runs into Mai, a former member of ASRUN, a group Haruka used to belong to. Minori shows her old otaku tendencies, but when Airi asks what's going on, Mai says she wants to apologize to Haruka, and they all decide to go to a family restaurant to find out more.
After hearing about the past, the three decide to summon Haruka to meet with them the next day. As they wait for Haruka, they wonder if this is a good idea, but Shizuku convinces them to keep waiting, and when Haruka finally arrives, she listens to Mai apologize. Haruka doesn't blame Mai at all and sends her back, but when Airi asks if she's sure she's okay, she says, "I don't have any regrets about being an idol anymore," and "I don't have anything to pass on," but Minori convinces her otherwise. However, Haruka reveals her own stage trauma, and Minori blames herself when she returns home for talking about idols and practicing in front of Haruka in the past.
Minori wants to cheer Haruka up somehow, but when she can't think of a way, she remembers the sekai and enters the sekai on stage. In the sekai, she consults with Miku and Rin, who show her their live performance, while simultaneously showing her the audience, which has become an ocean of blue penlights. Minori realizes that this view is a projection of Haruka's mind, and decides to bring Haruka back to show her the view once more, and with Miku's persuasion, she decides to perform live herself.
Afterward, Minori runs 10 kilometers to get in shape, and when she runs into the two seniors, Minori tells them about the live event. They agree to participate, and the three of them head to Sekai to do some stage research and practice for the live.
With the arrangements in place, the three take Haruka to Sekai to perform 'Happy Synthesizer', and as they perform, the audience turns blue again. When Haruka sees this and realizes she hasn't let go, Minori tries again to convince her to come up on stage, but Haruka is reluctant because of her stage trauma, but Minori reaches out her hand and says she'll hold her up. Miku and Rin teleport Haruka onto the stage, and when she almost collapses from stage trauma, Airi and Shizuku support her, and Haruka eventually regains her strength and overcomes her trauma. As Haruka finds her true heart, Untitled is transformed into an 'Idol Shin'eitai', and the five of them, including Miku, perform and successfully end the day.
On the day of Minori's 51st idol screening, she fails again. She's encouraged by Airi and Shizuku to try again, but then Haruka comes along and suggests that they form a group. At first, Minori doesn't realize she's included and asks for fan number one, but when the other members tell her that she's included and that it's all because of her, she's pleasantly surprised and accepts. When it's time to decide on a name for the group, Minori's first suggestion is "A group to convey hope for tomorrow," and it's quickly rejected. But when Haruka wants to add "more," Minori's way of saying "more," Shizuku suggests "MORE MORE FIGHT," and when Airi asks what a fight is, Minori suggests "MORE MORE JUMP!" and they all agree. Everyone agrees, and the unit story ends.

When Rui was young, he struggled to get along with his peers due to the differences what they found fun and interesting. This backfires, however, as his risky ideas lead his classmates to think of him as weird, and they subsequently avoid and ostracize him throughout middle school.
Rui eventually decided that he would perform shows on his own, using robots as his actors instead of real people. Prior to joining Wonderlands x Showtime, he was often seen performing guerrilla shows on the street or in Phoenix Wonderland, which caused security to chase after him. Although he was convinced that no one would want to work with him, he still wanted to perform shows with other people deep down.
He is given this opportunity when he joins Wonderlands x Showtime, and appreciates how his troupemates are willing to try his inventions and stage directions.
Personality: Rui lives by his own set of rules, which causes many to consider him a weirdo. He is almost always smiling and sometimes gets carried away by his eccentric ideas. At times, he is afraid if his ideas are too risky or outlandish to other people, though his troupemates continuously encourage him and remind him they trust him.
