- #1The Cityselective
Keys: The City
A country-sized Megalopolis ruled by The Head. The last known bastion of civilized society in the world. The City is a large, densely populated urban sprawl divided into 26 districts. Districts furthered divided into the Nest and the Backstreets. Districts themselves run by Wings who follow their own internal taboos and the one's set by The Head. The City is bordered to the south by the Great Lake, and to the other directions by the Outskirts. Underneath it lie the Ruins.
It has the population of 7 billion.
- #2[Major Info]selective
- #3The Headselective
Keys: The Head
The Head is the central governing body of The City, ruling over every district, every wing, and every citizen within its borders. It is composed of three wings, A Corp, B corp, and C crop. Districts at the very heart of The City.
They enforce taboos, set "Ethics", collect tax, mint Ahn (the currency of The City), and manage patents.
Despite setting general rules for everyone to follow, they do not interfere directly with the affairs of the various Wings in their own Districts; rather, only acting when Taboos are broken, ethics are ignored, or when tax isn't paid on time. The Head follows a general rule of non-intervention, allowing near absolute freedom for the People in The City.
It is composed by unknown number of humans whose identities are a mystery.
- #4Wingsselective
Keys: Wings of the World, Wings, Wing
The Wings, also known as the Wings of the World, are a group of the 26 largest, most powerful conglomerates in the City. Each Wing acts as the governing body of a District of the City, and is commonly referred to with a letter from A to Z, corresponding to the number of the District in their control. Wings generally oversee all facets of living in the Nest of their District, while leaving the residents of the Backstreets to fend for themselves.
Each Wing possesses and utilizes a Singularity, a form of technology that can blatantly violate the laws of physics. Singularities being the backbone of a Wing's postion alongside their ability to successfully use it for commercial purposes. As such, the Wings guard information about their Singularity with lethal force and maintain patents on their Singularity and all its related technologies to avoid losing its secrets to rival Wings, industry competitors, or other forces.
- #5[Wings]selective
- #6Nestsselective
Keys: Nest
A Nest is the urban center of a District, which is under the direct management of its Wing. The citizens and employees of a Wing are commonly referred to as "Feathers"; the status of a feather is widely considered one of the best and most secure paths in life, which the people of the Backstreets are often willing to go to great lengths to obtain.
These areas are typically wealthier and overall easier to live within when compared to the Backstreets, that which encompasses every area that the Nest does not occupy. Walls, electrical fences, fields of plasma invisible to naked eye, acting as borders to separate a Nest from the backstreet.
- #7Backstreetsselective
Keys: Backstreets
The Backstreets are the areas of a Wing's District that are not included in the Nests, outside their protection. They take the form of slums, as dangerous, poverty-ridden areas of the City that no one particularly enjoys living in. Districts aren't split evenly into Nest and Backstreets, rather, the Backstreets are said to stretch all over the City in a vein-like distribution. Like the Nests, the Backstreets of each District vary in culture and architecture.
Wings have differing degrees of presence, influence, and benevolence with regards to their Backstreets, although their relationship is ultimately exploitative. Citizens of the Backstreets are motivated to move up the ladder and into the Nests, while citizens of the Nests are motivated to maintain their statuses and preserve a more comfortable life under their Wing's protection. While not as secure as the Nest, residential areas are the safest parts of the Backstreets.
Given how strongly Backstreets denizens wish for a life in the Nest, Wings tend to uphold strict divides between the sectors, including security checkpoints and physical divisions. Security of borders between Nests and Backstreets vary from plasma walls to mere chain fences, but the Wings' power is such that no one in the Backstreets dares to cross over into a Nest without express permission.
- #8Outskirtsselective
Keys: Outskirts
The Outskirts are a grand, empty expanse lying of the 25 visible Districts of the City. It is said to be an ungoverned, no man's land known, no man's land known, and City dwellers are largely advised to stay away from it.
It is home to sapient, sentient beings that are not human, some monsters some similar to humans. A dumping ground for inhuman things deemed "impurities" by The Head. A land, that humans also populate, living on to the best of their ability.
Home to ruins hundreds to thousands of years old, housing technology far more advance compared to what Wings could come up with.
- #9Ruinsselective
Keys: Ruins
The Ruins lie underneath the City, and are implied to be accessible from anywhere so long as one travels deep enough. Specifically, they are known to be the deepest part of the City, comparable to an abyss. The location is described as having a unique atmosphere, adorned with various Rivers capable of granting blessings and curses to those who interact with the waters.
The Ruins are known to house miscellaneous Artifacts, that are powerful enough to fare well against beings like Abnormalities and Stars of the City. This is in addition to Relics, which are powerful objects with unique abilities that are highly sought after.
- #10The Great Lakeselective
Keys: Great Lake
The Great Lake is a giant ocean which extends to the Outskirts and borders the City. Occupying a large chunk of territory that touches T Corp., S Corp., V Corp. and U Corp., the latter of which partially expands across the Lake itself. The Great Lake is split into numerous distinctly separated Lakes, each of which possesses unique qualities, including varying water color, landmarks, and most importantly, "Laws".
The Laws of a Lake determine the course of travel through a Lake, such as how much time can be spent in one and when a vessel in the Lake can pass over to another. If a Law is broken, the Lake will send its "Waves" after the rulebreaker: in this event, the resident Whale of a Lake and its Mermaids will attack a ship that has broken a Law of the Lake, trying to consume the people within and convert them into Mermaids.

Before the start of the war, F Corp. was a partner of Old L Corp. that often had their problems with the Wing and its energy production, which would cause experiments with further developing F Corp.'s Singularity to fail due to the lack of energy. Despite these issues with the Wing, F Corp. still stood by it for reasons unknown, possibly out of a lack of trust in the potential New L Corp. or by having a deal of some sort with Old L Corp. that stood to benefit them.

- #24[Tech of the City]selective
- #25Fairyselective
Keys: Fairy, Fairies
After unlocking something, the Fairy is drained of energy and must be recharged. These Fairies are pocket sized, physical entities that enter keyholes and open the lock from the inside. It is unknown how the Fairies "unlock" conceptual locks. The functionality of Fairies is determined by whether the lock attempting to be opened is attached something with can be opened, for example a door that is not intended to ever see use and thus functions as a wall cannot be unlocked or opened by a Fairy.
Fairies are expensive to purchase and recharge, but are considered necessary for many lines of work. It appears as if there may be multiple products under the line of Fairies, such as the "All-purpose Unlocker Fairy". It is unclear what differences may exist between Fairies, but F Corp. is interested in experimenting with them and expanding their capabilities.

Helapoiesis is sold in the form of HP Bullets to be fired into injured combatants, injectable HP Ampules, and ingestible Tablets that heal users overnight. Helapoiesis products also require cross-compatibility tests with its targets, or else they may suffer side effects.
K Corp. is split into multiple departments, at least two of which share a corporate building. Little is known about them, but a "department of the year" award exists.
The Department of Food Resource Development oversees restaurant inspections within its Nest and conduct research and development on using K Corp.'s singularity in the food industry. However, the scope of their research also includes Abnormalities and they are aware of the existence of the Golden Boughs. In the Smoke War, K Corp. was one of the Wings which opposed the stingy Old L Corp. responsible for the human-smelling smoke that polluted the City, the losing side of the war. After the war, the mutual relationship continued, with L Corp. providing energy for R Corp. to make full use of its Singularity, and R Corp. providing L Corp. military protection to the Corporation's branches.
With the fall of L Corp., it has begun struggling due to energy demands for it's Singularity not being met for long term use alongside having less funds for T Corp. Singularity.

At the head of S Corp. is a Royal Court, led by a King and the retainers in their service, a system of governance that is noted to be unusual in the City. Three State Councilors are known to work within the Court.
In recent years, S Corp. officials have not initiated business arrangements with other Wings, and the District started undergoing a period of economic crisis, worsened by the rampant corruption among the higher-ups of the Corporation, as well as questionable political decisions, such as the Wing's decision to allow the Kurokumo Clan to be active within its territory.
In more recent years, the Second State Councilor, whom the Blade Lineage had been contracted to, was assassinated by the Third State Councilor, to stop the Second Councilor from presenting an appeal that would uproot the corruption of the officials of S Corp. Ever since this event, it appears no one has been able to put a stop to the turmoil within the District, which has led many of its inhabitants to immigrate to other parts of the City.

The collected time is then stored within the T Corp. Time Vault.
As is standard in T Corp., Collectors come in several classes, with Class 1 being the lowest and Class 5 being the highest. All Collectors receive a T Corp.-issued watch through which they receive a certain amount of time to use during missions, granting them the ability to greatly accelerate their time and to quickly heal injuries. Collectors starting from Class 3 are equipped with a pickaxe capable of siphoning time out of its target.
In addition to regular Collection Staff, other specialized Collection Units are mentioned to exist, such as the Violent Defaulter Collections Unit, or VDCU. - #42Warp Trainselective
Keys: WARP Train, WARP Trains
WARP Trains, the foundation of W Corp. success and power, use two singularities to function.
One singularity, a patent purchased from a fallen wing, is used: this technology allows to open gates between dimensions. It is used to send the WARP Train into a parallel dimension, in which the time flow becomes massively dilated, causing passengers to experience thousands of years between departure and arrival. During this period, the passengers are in a state of moratorium, in which all their physical processes halt. The passengers do not experience tiredness, hunger or thirst, and they are unable to die, although their mind remains conscious. First class passengers, who are stored inside flash-freeze hibernation devices, are safely frozen and asleep for the entire ride, while economy class passengers typically lose their sanity over the extended time, usually resorting to violence and self-mutilation.
Thanks to a cooperation agreement with T Corp., WARP Trains are provided with a temporal preservation device, which collects the passengers' time so that no "time" effectually passes for the passengers, granting them unconditional immortality. This allows the Train to reach its destination without any time passing in the original dimension.
The Singularity developed by W Corp. itself allows for restoration to a previous status: it functions similarly to a 'save point', being able to record the state of an object and return it to the recorded state, effectively undoing any changes made to it in the meantime. Within the WARP Train, this is used to scan and record the molecular structure and genome data of all passengers, storing the information and transmitting it to a restoration machine. Their true Singularity used to restore passengers after they turned themselves into gory messes after going mad for thousands of years upon arrival back to the original dimension.
WARP Cleanup Crew boarding the Train to restore people and deal with any WARP Train passengers gone mad before restoring them properly.

- #44Concept Incineratorselective
Keys: Concept Incinerator
A concept incinerator has the literal ability of erasing a concept, particularly an invention.
When something is burned within a concept incinerator, the invention passes into oblivion, together with its memory and all traces of it left in the world, and the documentation and records of it become blurred. The effectiveness of a concept incinerator depends on the quality of the product, with a certain range of prices being available.
Despite this, it is implied that the technology of a Concept Incinerator remains imperfect, since, as long as a single person carries a trace of a memory, it is possible to recover the destroyed concept.
Concept incinerator are often seen in the form of large cauldron with white flames ready to burn a concept away.
- #45Fabricselective
Keys: Tailors, Fabric
Clothing worn by Fixers or Syndicate members in The City are far beyond that of normal clothing. #Boluses can be used: -orally, in powder or pill form -Mixed into food or drink -Soaked into bandages and wrapped around injuries -Applied as an ointment.
- #47Prostheticsselective
Keys: Prosthetic Substitution, Prosthetics, Prosthetic
Procedures to modify one's organic body are extremely common in the City, being used by people of all walks of life, from wealthy Nest citizens, to laborers of the Backstreets. Body modification procedures are widely considered necessary for anyone who undertakes Fixer work. Through these procedures, one's entire body can be modified, except for the brain, which must be kept intact.
Prosthetic use consists in the substitution of organic body parts for mechanical or bionic ones. This can be partial, or full-body; in the latter case, the user's brain is removed from their body, and placed into the new, prosthetic one.
Full-body substitution is an irreversible procedure, and therefore usually ill-advised compared to other options. It is often chosen by people in need of money, who are then able to sell their old body and their organs for a good sum, or by people who do repetitive work, as a completely mechanical body is able to withstand the stress better than an organic one, and is not subject to physical needs such as that of food and drink. Full-body prosthetics instead require the use of brain fluid and fuel to keep the user's brain and body in good condition, as well as occasional physical maintenance. It appears that in current models, fuel might have been replaced by electrical energy.
Prosthetics can be of varying quality and aesthetics. Low-quality prosthetic substitution comes at the cost of the loss of one's senses. This can be overcome through the purchase of desire stimulation chips or medicines, or that of a more expensive prosthetic, as high-quality models come with sensory organs. The most expensive models are capable of adjusting the user's emotions or completely shutting off desires.[5]
- #48Moonlight Stonesselective
Keys: M-Stones, Moonlight Stones
M Corp.'s Singularity is 'Moonlight Stones' which can fortify the mind or allow people to eliminate distracting thoughts. Moonlight Stones can be gilded to clothes or turned into ornaments that can be worn, making them convenient to have on one's person at all time. Through the use of a moonlight stone, a person can focus on a singular subject and amplify it in such a way that it protects from various mental attacks and various psychological afflictions from various sources, including ones caused by sight, sound, touch, or direct assaults of the mind. Moonlight Stones have a limit to how much they can block, losing color as their usage is drained until they are completely colorless.
As a result of these helpful effects, many people in the City who regularly see combat such as Fixers and Syndicate members use Moonlight Stones to protect themselves from psychological attacks.
- #49Ampuleselective

The technology of Q Corp.'s Singularity revolves around the use of glyphs. Typically, a glyph is engraved on a talisman, which is then either attached to an object or carried by the user. Q Corp.'s glyphs can have various effects, such as powering up weapons or creating buildings out of ink, and are designed to be triggered under specific circumstances.
Glyphs can also be engraved into clothing to power up them by granting special properties like augmenting a person's speed, strength, reaction time, and other beneficial ability for fighting.
