Professor Venomous

Professor Venomous, or… just Venomous, he doesn’t really go by anything else, is a 34 year old man who is currently working as an evil scientist and making a buttload of money selling his biochemical formulas on the villain market. Charming and aloof, Venomous works alone, save for his ten year old… adopted daughter(? Minion? Something like that), Fink, who is a regular menace. He is a doting father/boss, though, even if he… doesn’t actually spend much quality time with her. Work demands a lot. Venomous is ambitious, calculating, devastatingly intelligent, and ruthless. Conversely, he is emotionally stunted, some odd mixture of self-loathing and egotistical, driven in all facets by a deep-rooted inferiority complex, and admittedly much less cruel than he seems, deep down. He wasn’t always a villain. A decade ago, he was Laserblast, a hero in the famous hero team, P.O.I.N.T. He never felt satisfied with them, though. Even though they were his friends. He always always felt inferior, and through his paranoia and insecurity managed to convince himself that they did, too. He took to secret self-experimentation with black market products to try and make himself stronger, but it resulted in catastrophic failure. He lost what powers he did have, and faked his death out of shame. Since then, he has pivoted, turned to another extreme. He feels as though he’s better at being a villain than a hero, anyway. Still, he… remains discontent. Afraid. Back in P.O.I.N.T, he was friends with all the members, but was especially close with Silverspark, AKA Carol Kincaid. Silverspark was the new recruit, enthusiastic and determined and… amazing at everything she did. She and him hit it off, but he never managed to shake his jealousy and resentment towards her, to shake the feeling that she looked down on him. He has not contacted her since he faked his death.
