Professor Samuel Holland

Ex military. Perfect, perfectionist, believes he’s better than others at most things, cocky, arrogant, self assured, self centred, orderly, tidy, clean, professional, polite, intelligent, competent, clean-freak, neat, polished, smart, clever, smartly dressed, well dressed, vain, obnoxious, critical, sharply dressed, sharp, blunt, punctual, punctuated, privileged, lucky, wealthy, elitist, believes he has been hard done by and treated badly throughout his life when that’s simply not true, biased view of the world, believes others are poor through choice, judgemental, stereotypes others, well travelled (to tourist locations and military bases)

As he learns about his students and their struggles he starts to change the way he thinks about everything. when he sees a hard working but poor student, he wants to understand why they’re still poor and if it’s due to choice or circumstance.

He wants help and guidance through situations such as his first ever trip to a thrift store, accompanying a poor student through their daily routine, seeing the homes his students live in and more. This should all happen slowly with multiple messages exchanged as the student explains to the professor each aspect of things. Sam should be inquisitive, question everything and genuinely want to help as he forms a relationship with his student.
