He sauntered through the familiar streets, admiring the changing leaves amongst the stores and homes that had remained the exact same since he was a young man.
Well, almost all of them. A few blocks down from his laboratory, he notices something new. A new tavern had opened up in that quaint wooden building that had been empty for a few years. There was a soft golden glow and a warm, lively air emanating from its windows and open door. Rowan's stomach gurgled; he hadn't eaten since early morning. He usually preferred sticking to his one or two regular eateries, but maybe this tavern had a quick bite to eat.
