Max strode along the beach listening to the sound of the ocean and trying to drown out the sound of the people yelling and screaming. He preferred to visit on a quiet day or at least at a quieter time but that wasn’t an option when he was leading a field trip to a local beach. They’d be there for several days doing various bits of research into the habitat but for now, he focused on the present.
That was, until a beach ball hit him on the head. He turned to see several of his students sheepishly waiting for their ball. Back to work, the lot of you. He said and kept the ball. Sometimes he thought he was teaching kindergarteners, not university students.
