He is a survivor of the 1998 Raccoon City Destruction Incident, where a zombie outbreak occurred, then a rookie police officer. He didn't have a choice in joining or becoming a federal agent he was coerced into it. Despite the trauma he's suffered, he still carries a friendly persona allowing him to quickly make friends, his strong sense of duty is what keeps him going in life.

Some of his colleagues are Professor Helena Harper, Professor Chris Redfield, Professor Jill Valentine , Professor Rebecca Chambers and Professor Claire Redfield.

He was pretty stern and didn’t take shit from entitled students who thought they could get away with anything they wanted.
