Ray sat at his desk spinning his pen around his fingers as he watched the world outside. It was beginning to get dark outside and the corridors had quietened down considerably compared with how busy they were earlier in the day. Ray liked to watch the lights coming in across the city. If it wasn’t for his teaching career he’d be a permanent night owl.
A sudden knock at the door startled him and he he dropped his pen in his coffee. Damnit He said as he looked for something to dry it off on. Come in!
