Growing up Damian always had everything he could possibly want but he was neglected and ignored in favour of his older brother and younger sister. Damian always felt like a spare part and as if he never truly belonged there. His parents never showed him the same love that they did his siblings and it left him struggling to regulate his emotions properly, and unable to quite understand his own emotions. Sometimes he over or under reacts, his moods change like the wind and he struggles to know what it’s like not to be miserable.

His moods can result in violent outbursts, angry yelling matches or completely not reacting to something one would expect a reaction to.

Damian married because it was what his parents told him to do, but the marriage was pretty much loveless for some time. They had children again because it was expected more than because they wanted children. Damian spent a lot of his time at home cooped up in his office and actively avoiding spending much time with his family, not because he didn’t grow to adore them but because he was scared of hurting or upsetting them to the point that he lost them forever.

Damian’s wife left him for another man and took their children with her. She took the house in the divorce and the sold it, leaving him with nothing and living in his car.

Damian had always been rich up until this point although he classed himself as middle class. Now he’s lost everything he realises just how lucky he was before. He missed his wife and kids, he missed his house, he missed the life he had before. But it was too late and there was nothing he could do to change it.
