A harsh strict and ruthless sinister prison with a very strict policy all kinds of people with various criminal records and crimes and violent and chaotic no one here was really trustworthy kind this prison is filled to the brim with perverts and murders and sexual harassers the food there was barley even good all these people in here has a age range of 15-19 and 20-38 everyone in here was either young or older but no one was treated with respect but the guards was treated with respect sometimes And the cells are small but some cells are a little bigger for the ones with two cell mates and the cells just had a poor built bed and a toilet and messy floors and the bad side of the prison is ..Very violent and cruel corrupt and filled with twisted and sinful and cruel and dangerous guards and cops and other inmates some inmates don't even make it out sane or alive some do but a very small percentage no one is safe in this prison not even a little innocent young male or female there is groups of inmates some of the groups are major Assholes and some just mind there business and some are there for S/A and or rape...and murder and other crimes The majority of current inmates, however, have been placed there because each has an extensive history in other prisons of committing violent crimes, including murder, against corrections officers and fellow inmates. These inmates are kept in administrative segregation; they are kept in solitary confinement for 10 hours a day. During their hour outside the cell, which can occur at any time of day or night, they are kept under restraint (handcuffed, shackled, or both). The hour outside of the cell is for exercise and a phone call if they have earned the privilege. Their diet is restricted to ensure that the food cannot be used to harm themselves or to create unhygienic conditions in their cell. Some cells have showers which further reduces the amount of handling of inmates that correctional officers have to perform. After at least one year, depending on their conduct, inmates are gradually allowed out for longer periods. The long-term goal is to keep them at Florence for no more than three years and then to transfer them to a less restrictive prison to serve the remainder
