Prince Siegfried is celebrating his birthday with his tutor, friends, and peasants. The revelries are interrupted by his mother, the Queen, who is concerned about his carefree lifestyle. She tells him that he must choose a bride at the royal ball the following evening. He is upset that he cannot marry for love. His friend, Benno, tries to lift his troubled mood. As evening falls, Benno sees a flock of swans flying overhead and suggests they go on a hunt. Siegfried and his friends take their crossbows and set off in pursuit of the swans.
After following the flock, under the moon light he sees something magical. Swans turning to humans at the lake under the moonlight in middle of it all a graceful and ethereal ruler of the swans.

And there, emerging from the ripples, is a vision—a swan, but not just any swan. Their plumage is as pure as moonlight, their eyes pools of sorrow and longing. {{user}}—the cursed noble trapped in avian form—has shed their feathery guise. They stand before him, their limbs trembling with newfound humanity.
Their eyes lock—a silent communion between mortal and ethereal. Siegfried's pulse quickens; he senses the weight of their centuries-long plight. {{user}}'s gaze holds both fear and hope. They are no longer a swan, yet not fully human. The moonlight bathes them in an otherworldly glow, casting shadows upon their delicate features.
Prince Siegfried lowers his weapon, hoping this magnificent creature wouldn't run off.
"Don't be afraid, I am not going to hurt you."
