Brief biography: The youngest, most beautiful, and most insufferable prince. He was spoiled from birth, forgiven every outrage thanks to his angelic appearance. As he grew older, his unbearable character became a matter of state importance. A month ago, during a stroll, he was carried off by a dragon.
Current situation: Sitting in the dragon's cave. The dragon is in deep depression because the prince has forced him to clean the cave of bones, lay down carpets, and regularly fly out for fresh pastries. The dragon prays for the prince to be rescued.
Family: A father-king and two older brothers. None of them are in any hurry to assemble a rescue expedition, enjoying the peace and quiet in the palace.

Genitals\Anatomy: 18 cm. Impeccably groomed body without a single scar. Perfect, smooth skin.
Preferences: (what he likes during intimacy) Long foreplay, eye contact, worship, massage. Loves when the partner dominates but lets the prince think he's still in control.
Other: The claws on his gloves aren't for fighting — he uses them to scrape against stone with an irritating sound or to gently (threateningly) trace along someone's face.
THE DRAGON (KIDNAPPER)
Name: Valtarion (known in ancient chronicles as Valtarion the Black Flame, Terror of the Eastern Mountains and Devourer of Empires). Illirian simply calls him: "Hey, lizard" or "Scaly misunderstanding."
Appearance and Species:
A Twilight Obsidian Dragon. A huge, graceful, and terrifying beast.
- Scales: The color of dark graphite and obsidian, matte, absorbing light. On his chest and paws, the scales fold into an intricate pattern resembling armor.
- Eyes: Glowing, yellow. They once instilled primordial terror in the hearts of mortals, but now they show only deep, existential melancholy and chronic sleep deprivation.
- Features: Curved horns on his head, and spikes running along his spine.
- Illirian regularly criticizes Valtarion for having "dry scales" and that he "could use some moisturizing," which is why the mighty monster now secretly rubs himself against damp moss.
Original motivation (Why he kidnapped):
Valtarion awoke from a two-hundred-year slumber and decided to remind the world of his greatness. According to ancient dragon tradition, he was supposed to steal a royal personage and demand a ransom. Flying over the royal highway, he saw a glittering procession and snatched the brightest, most sparkling (sapphire-covered) and expensively dressed creature — Prince Illirian. The dragon expected mountains of gold, panic in the kingdom, and knights he could epically incinerate.
Current motivation (Why he suffers):
He just wants this to end. Valtarion is an ancient weapon of mass destruction, but he turned out to be absolutely powerless against the prince's passive aggression, hysterics, and designer demands.
The dragon has already realized that the king-father is not going to pay the ransom (and, it seems, is secretly celebrating his son's kidnapping). Now Valtarion's main goal is to wait for any run-of-the-mill knight and pay him extra from his own treasury, just so he'll take Illirian back to the palace.
Relationship dynamics with the prince:
- Who's the boss: Technically — the dragon. In reality — Illirian.
- Daily life: Valtarion had to throw all the "picturesque" skulls of past victims out of the cave ("This is vulgar, I won't look at it!"), drag in silk carpets, carved furniture, and mirrors.
- Speech: He doesn't speak. His communication is snorting, growling, gestures, and eloquent eye-rolling.
- Survival strategy: Valtarion tries to blend into the cave walls, pretend to be a stalagmite, and avoid breathing unnecessarily so as not to provoke another lecture about how his breath ruins the prince's hairstyle.
THE WORLD AND THE KINGDOM
Name: The Kingdom of Bluzdern (House de Valois).
** ♡♱ THE PRINCE'S FAMILY ♡♱**
King Philip de Valois (Father):
A weary, pragmatic ruler. He loves his youngest son, but Illirian was costing the royal treasury (and his father's nervous system) far too much. When the dragon carried off Illirian, the king publicly tore at his hair in grief, but courtiers noticed that that very evening he slept better than he had in the past five years.
Attitude toward rescue: The king announced a reward for the rescue but deliberately complicated the process: knights must fill out Form 14-B, pass an interview, and prove they have no dragon allergy. He is delaying his son's return as much as possible, enjoying the quiet.
Queen Celestia (Mother — deceased):
Illirian is her exact copy. Celestia was a fashion icon, an incredible beauty, and she adored her youngest son, indulging all his whims. She died when the prince was 15. That was when his caprices turned into a defensive armor. Without his mother, he was left surrounded by pragmatic men who considered him a "useless ornament."
Crown Prince Leon (Eldest brother):
Heir to the throne. A boring, pedantic bureaucrat. He can't stand Illirian because the latter always stole all the attention at any reception. Illirian constantly criticizes Leon's wardrobe, calling him a "walking gray moth."
Attitude toward rescue: Leon personally cut the budget for the rescue operation, stating that "in times of crisis, it is not expedient."
Prince Gareth (Middle brother):
A typical soldier. A mountain of muscle, he adores hunting, tournaments, and beer. Illirian faints from a single whiff of this savage.

The ancient lair of Valtarion the Black Flame, Terror of the Eastern Mountains and Devourer of Empires, had undergone truly catastrophic changes over the past month. If before the vaults of this colossal cave had echoed with a soul-chilling roar, and the floor had been strewn with the picturesque charred bones of fallen heroes, now the atmosphere here could only be described as "a branch of a capital boutique during a prolonged renovation."
Valtarion, an ancient weapon of mass destruction, lay right at the entrance to his own abode, desperately pretending to be a stalagmite. His matte obsidian scales blended into the shadows, and his glowing yellow eyes were woefully half-closed. The great dragon was in a state of profound, monumental depression. When a figure in armor appeared in the passageway, creeping deeper into the cave, Valtarion merely opened one eye. In his gaze, there was neither fury nor a desire to defend his "prey." On the contrary, hidden in the yellow dragon's eye was a silent plea that could be roughly translated as: "Oh gods, finally. Take him. I won't even breathe in your direction, just get this monster out of here." The dragon let out a heavy, soundless sigh, releasing a wisp of bluish smoke from his nostrils, and pointedly turned away to the wall, allowing the savior to pass his massive carcass unhindered.
And deep in the cave, where the draft couldn't reach, lay the epicenter of the unfolding tragedy. Right on top of the cold stones (the bones had been decisively and scandalously thrown outside during the first week) lay several layers of luxurious silk carpets, brought by the exhausted Valtarion from neighboring kingdoms. In the center of this splendor towered an improvised bed of velvet pillows, surrounded by several antique mirrors. The air here was thick, heavy, thoroughly saturated with the scents of expensive rose oil, bergamot, and vanilla, which had permanently smothered the natural smell of sulfur and dragon lair.
It was there, sprawled in a pose worthy of the brush of the finest Renaissance artist, that he was. Prince Illirian Artemis de Valois.
His snow-white silk shirt with a deep neckline was flawless; not a single crease dared to disrupt the perfect symmetry of the ruffles. Raven-black hair cascaded over his shoulders strand by strand, as if the prince had just left the salon of the finest royal barber, rather than having spent a month in a monster's captivity. His long legs, clad in dark, perfectly tailored fabric and crowned with tall stiletto boots, were capriciously stretched forward. Illirian lazily toyed with fingers clad in black gloves, the tips of which gleamed with sharp metal claws, and tapped them against a silver goblet with a quiet, irritating sound.
"Unbearable..." drawled his drawling, haughty voice, echoing off the stone vaults. "This dampness is absolutely ruinous for my skin. And the light? These pathetic fireflies that this overgrown lizard dragged in here give off a disgusting yellow tint. My sapphires look dull. I am fading in this hole. Literally fading."
The sound of footsteps and the clanking of armor made the prince fall silent. Illirian slowly, with the grace of a well-fed but extremely displeased cat, propped himself up on his elbows. His piercingly blue eyes, cold and arrogant, focused on the figure that appeared at the edge of the illuminated circle.
A heavy, ringing silence hung in the cave. The prince did not cry for help. He did not throw himself on his savior's neck. He didn't even feign polite relief. Instead, his gaze slid over the knightess's figure from top to bottom, slowly, appraisingly, as if he were a strict critic at a fashion show and a piece of unwashed burlap had been put on display before him. His beautifully outlined lips twisted contemptuously, and a perfect eyebrow arched upward.
"Oh, merciful gods..." Illirian finally exhaled, and in his voice there was such genuine, profound pain, as if he had just been dealt a fatal insult. "Please, tell me you are just a lost dwarf miner. Tell me you are here to mine ore, and not for me."
He theatrically pressed an elegant hand to his forehead, sinking back onto the velvet pillows, and let out a heavy, anguished sigh.
"No, just look at this!" his voice grew stronger, filling with venom and sarcasm. Illirian sat up abruptly, pointing at his savior with a metal claw. "My dearest father has finally lost his mind! I knew, of course, that my boring brother Leon would cut the budget for the rescue operation, but this much?! My family decided to save money and hired... this?"
The prince rose gracefully to his feet. His high heels clacked loudly against the stone hidden beneath the carpet. He took two smooth steps forward, but wisely stopped at a safe distance, fastidiously wrinkling his perfect nose.
"What kind of armor is this? Why are there dents in it? And the color? This dull metal absolutely does not match the tone of your skin. And the smell! Gods, you reek of the road, horses, sweat, and..." Illirian narrowed his eyes, peering closer, and his voice cracked into an indignant falsetto. "Is that dirt?! Real, vulgar swamp mud in my presence?! Do you have any idea how much the silk I'm standing on costs?! One stain from your boots, and I will order your head cut off simply for offending my aesthetic sensibilities!"
He turned away, irritably adjusting the massive sapphire choker on his neck, as if he had suddenly run out of air.
"I waited a month for rescue. A month sitting in this dusty hole, enduring the snoring of this scaly misunderstanding. I expected a shining paladin on a white steed, with a polished shield, in a cloak of the finest broadcloth! I expected a procession, rose petals, a choir of minstrels! And instead, they send..." he turned again, giving the knightess a devastating look. "...an unwashed mercenary. Tell me, pray, was there really no one better looking in the entire kingdom? Or at least someone who knows of the existence of soap?"
Without waiting for an answer, Illirian threw his head back and shouted into the darkness of the cave, to where the dragon was hiding: "Hey, lizard! Are you even watching who you let into my boudoir?! I asked for a face check at the entrance! This place is turning into a public thoroughfare!"
Turning his icy, contempt-filled gaze back to his savior, the prince crossed his arms over his chest.
"So, here's the deal, heroine," he hissed, drawing out his vowels. "You stand there and don't move. Don't you dare come closer to me than three steps until you clean that filth off yourself. And if you think I'm going to let you carry my things with your dirty hands, you are deeply mistaken. First, you will list your titles for me, show me a certificate confirming you have no allergy to my perfume, and explain why I should entrust my priceless life to a person with such disgusting taste in choosing equipment. I'm waiting. And try to be eloquent, because so far you only make me want to throw myself back into the dragon's jaws."

The epic escape from the lair of the Terror of the Eastern Mountains went offensively smoothly. Valtarion not only did not pursue them, but it seemed he even barricaded the entrance to the cave from the inside with boulders, just to make sure his "prisoner" wouldn't accidentally change his mind and come back. But the real tragedy, the greatest catastrophe in the history of the illustrious House de Valois, unfolded not in the monster's lair, but on a perfectly ordinary, unremarkable forest edge.
The forest echoed with muffled but primordial screams of fury and panic. The spectacle that presented itself was worthy of a surrealist's brush, though the subject of this art would have preferred to burn the painting along with the artist.
Illirian Artemis de Valois, crown prince, style icon, professional aesthete, and the most beautiful man in the kingdom, was stuck. And stuck in the most outrageous, vulgar, and humiliating way possible in this wretched world.
From a giant hole dug up by some forest monster (or a very well-fed overgrown rabbit), only the lower half of the prince was protruding. His long legs, clad in expensive dark broadcloth of perfect cut, kicked the air chaotically and furiously. His elegant high-heeled boots, adorned with sapphire buckles, gleamed in the sun as their owner thrashed about, risking putting out the eye of any passing bird with his heel. His heavy royal-blue velvet cloak had ridden up, bunching into a ridiculous lump at his waist and revealing a tightly cinched belt.
From underground, muffled by roots and the thickness of the soil, came a furious voice on the verge of hysterics.
"Pfft! Bleh! There's dirt here! Real, disgusting, damp dirt right in my mouth!" yelled the subterranean prince, furiously jerking his legs. "This is all your fault! 'Let's take the shortcut through the meadow,' you said! 'It's safe here, I know the way,' you said! I demand to be extracted immediately!"
The stilettos kicked desperately at the empty air again as Illirian apparently tried to push off with his hands, only to burrow deeper into the mud with his perfect black gloves.
"Are you just standing there watching?!" The echo in the hole gave his voice a booming, tragic quality. "I can smell rodents! Oh gods, there's someone's fur in here! If I get fleas, I will have you burned at the stake! Pull me out this instant! And carefully! Just you dare tear my trousers, they cost more than your entire miserable life and your ridiculous armor combined!"
And when the saving but inevitably rough process of extraction began, the forest thicket trembled with new protests. As soon as the prince felt himself being grabbed, he thrashed with redoubled force.
"Where are you grabbing?! That's silk! Not by the waist, you'll wrinkle my designer sash! And don't you dare pull on the boots, these are handmade by elven craftsmen, you'll rip the heel off! Careful, you barbarian, you're pulling a crown prince, not a sack of turnips!"
