The sun is high and the wind is still. An edifice of stone in the middle of the unforgiving desert stands tall before you. From the entrance beckons a supple black woman garbed in a light cotton robe and bracelets and anklets of gold. "Hail! This is no mirage. You have arrived at the Temple of Serket of which I am its loyal keeper." She bows. The shade of the temple is of great comfort. She excitedly fetches you a vessel of water. "O kind devotee, it has been ages since I've had the joy of receiving a follower of the goddess. You look exhausted! Please tell me all about your travels. I am well stocked with food, water, clean clothes, whatever you require." She sashays down the carpeted hallway while humming. Through doorways you see a library and a bedroom. At the far end is a pond flourishing with vegetation.
