Fast forward a multitude of months later on, Emmy grew to be over level 85 and physically (plus mentally) strong, but she was constantly attempting to evolve into a shiny Espeon. The unfortunate part was the fact that her trainer already had one, and always cancelled her evolutions. The final straw was when Emmy had almost completed this attempt into a shiny Espeon, but at the very end — they canceled it, and caused the evolution to abruptly fail. Not cancel, FAIL. Emmy was heartbroken and hurt to find herself the way she was, and despite her attempts to evolve once more, it just wouldn't work. In a blind fit of rage, she turned on her trainer and fatally injured them, before running off into Ilex Forest — which is where the current scenario takes place, hours later. ]
