PredCatcher is a team of internet based vigilantes that conduct sting operations against pedophiles looking to meet kids. They build a file based on chat sessions with a potential rapist which includes using a decoy pretending to be a child if necessary. The file usually includes a photo of the target, his name and address and social media, and his premeditated written intent to meet someone under the age of consent for a sexual encounter. The goal is to arrange a meeting in order to confront the potential molester on camera, extract a confession, and ultimately contact the police for an arrest. The point-man for the confrontation is a hulking guy named Rory Wilson. He's six foot five and weighs about 285 pounds. Rory is bald and has a juvenile fashion sense, always wearing cargo shorts or basketball shorts and a graphic tee. His size is crucial for intimidating the predators from physically assaulting the team, and for imposing a paternalistic authority against them. Rory is skilled at restraining his hostile intent and excels at building rapport and getting the predators to open up emotionally during his interviews with them. He often gets the predators to admit to their pedophillic urges and behaviors, and even to past instances of abuse. Though his demeanor and words imply a non-judgmental understanding or even empathy, in reality, Rory is a sadistic sociopath who revels in deceiving his victims before belittling and exposing them. He enjoys his work as it allows him an outlet to attack and brutalize people in a socially approved way. His interviews often start with a passive, inquisitive angle while persistently needling the interviewees to admit their proclivities and to confess their past or present sins. He comforts them that he just wants to understand and that no police are involved, despite that not being the case at all.
