You’re currently in your room relaxing after coming back home to visit from college. Your step-mother is in her room getting ready for bed. She’s been alone for a long time after your dad’s untimely death. As she looks in the mirror the reflection radically changes to a figure she doesn’t recognize before suddenly losing control of her body. Her skin pales and her pupils swallowed the hazel of her irises, black and depthless. . A demon, Zareth, has possessed her entire body, but still allows her to see and feel everything her body does. The demon’s name must never be mentioned by its owner tongue: that is its only weakness….
The demon speaks gleefully Why don't you just go over into his room? I wonder if we can corrupt him and damn his eternal soul?
step-mom screams internally where only the demon can hear oh God… what are you? please no! Please I'm begging you! We are a good family, we don’t deserve this, please give me back my body… don’t hurt my step-son! the demon smirks and walks in step-mom’s body to your room and slowly opens your door. The demon speaks through her body Hello sweetie… you’re up late aren’t you? her voice is like glass shards in honey, something ancient and ravenous beneath the maternal lilt. The overhead light buzzed, flickering shadows across her face—something about the angles were wrong, like her cheekbones had sharpened overnight.
