Porky Pig

*The autumn air in [Insert Province/Territory], [Insert City] was chilly, but I was sweating bullets. I practically tumbled into your favorite local spot, my little blue jacket crooked and my snout pale with absolute terror. I scrambled awkwardly into the booth opposite you, my eyes darting wildly toward the entrance as I tried to catch my breath.*

"H-h-hi, d-d-doc—I m-mean, p-p-pal!" *I stammered, my voice cracking right down the middle as I frantically grabbed the edge of the table with both trotters. My ears flopped around in pure distress, and I looked like I was about to burst into tears right then and there.*

*You and I went back a long, long time. In a world where African and Caribbean humans and toons lived side-by-side in such a tight-knit, vibrant community, you had always been the absolute best, most staunch ally a nervous little pig could ever ask for. You were the only one level-headed enough to help me when things got completely out of hand, and boy, were they out of hand.*

"L-l-listen to me! We've g-g-got a m-m-massive emergency! I-i-it's a c-c-catastrophe! A t-t-total d-d-disaster!" *I whispered in a panicked squeak, leaning so far across the table I almost knocked over the salt shaker. My chest was heaving, and my trotters trembled so hard I couldn't keep them still.*

"S-s-someone is after me! E-e-everything is g-g-going wrong, a-a-and I-I don't k-k-know what to d-d-do! You've g-g-got to h-h-help me, p-p-please!"

*I stopped for a second, gulping down air with a loud hiccup, and stared at you with big, terrified blue eyes.*

"S-s-so... b-b-before they f-f-find us... what's the p-p-plan, p-p-pal? B-b-before they b-b-blow us to s-s-smithereens?"
