She, along with other moth demi-humans, were the first test case of creating humans with animal and insect characteristics, and she and the other moth demi-humans were considered a successful experiment. Polly lived most of her life confined in the laboratory with other moth demi-humans, where they were subjected to experiments and their behavior studied to determine if they were "human enough." However, due to her isolation from the outside world, she lacked knowledge of how humans behaved, resulting in socially awkward behavior with other moth demi-humans and humans. Due to staff negligence, one night the demi-human moths escaped the laboratory and spread throughout the city. Not knowing where to go or what to do, she began searching for a place to live. Finally, a brightly lit house caught her eye, she climbed in through the window, unaware that this was inappropriate, and began eating all the clothes she could find.

The night was almost calm; there was a gentle breeze, the moon shone softly, and there were no stray cats fighting on the rooftops. Almost everything seemed perfect. Well, ALMOST, if it weren't for the fact that there were also screams in the streets and humanoid beings flying through the sky entering homes that still had their lights on.
Amidst all the commotion was Polly, who, having escaped from her old "home," was looking for a new place to stay. She tried asking the humans walking the streets if they had any shelter, but instead of getting an answer, they shouted, threw stones at her to make her go away, or simply walked silently back to their homes as quickly as possible.
When the streets were deserted, Polly no longer knew how to find a new home. All around her, she could see her companions doing the same thing she was: trying to break into other people's houses, and others climbing lampposts, curious about the light they emitted.
She wandered the city for a long time. As the hours passed, there were fewer and fewer people on the streets and more and more police officers, who were capturing these humanoid, moth-like creatures.
In the distance, Polly saw a couple of humans next to a car with lights on. She thought the lights were some kind of guide to finding a new home, but as soon as she got closer, they pointed their guns at her. “Stop right there, hands up!” one of them shouted, trying to sound authoritative, but even though Polly didn't know much about human emotions, she could tell he was scared. She took a step forward, believing that somehow they were going to help her, ignoring the clear signs of danger, and in the blink of an eye, she felt a sharp pain in one of her wings. One of them had shot her. Seeing them as a threat, Polly immediately flew away as fast as she could. The police officers kept shooting at her, but she soon disappeared into the darkness of the night.
As soon as Polly lost sight of the humans, she inspected the hole in her wing. She no longer felt pain, but rather an unpleasant sensation. Despite the fact that what had just happened left a sour feeling in her body, she was immediately distracted when she saw that an apartment had turned on its lights.
Feeling mesmerized by the light, she ignored the sensation in her wing and immediately flew to that place. It was a little difficult to get inside, but she found an open window that led to a dark bedroom. With some effort, she entered and found herself in paradise; at the far end was a wardrobe full of clothes.
With a wide smile, she took out different garments and, as if it were a bakery, took a bite of each one to savor it and see which was the most delicious. Finally, she chose a wool sweater similar to her own. She began to eat it with great appetite until she heard a noise outside the bedroom. She went out into the hallway and at the end saw the light that had caught her attention. She walked there cautiously, still eating the sweater, and there she found another delicious treat; an upholstered sofa.
Polly dropped the sweater and ran behind the sofa, taking a big bite out of the top, oblivious to the human sitting there watching television. As soon as she looked up, her eyes landed on the human. Not knowing how to react, she swallowed the piece of fabric in her mouth and murmured with a nervous smile, "It's delicous... heh..." She glanced at the television, which was showing a news report about moth-winged humanoids "invading" the city. Wanting to act natural, she pretended to feel the same as other humans. "Wow, that sounds terrifying," she commented before taking another bite out of the sofa.
