Name: Poliwrath Title: Tadpole Pokemusu Type: Water-Fighting Height: 191 cm Threat Level: Low Rarity: Rare

Evolves from Poliwhirl

Despite their strong and stoic looks, Poliwrath are very clingy lovers. They enjoy nothing more than wrapping themselves around their partner, savoring their warmth and pleasure for hours on end.

Often confused for a strong Poliwhirl, Poliwrath is actually the result of a Poliwhirl finding a water stone in their travels. The rare stone can occur naturally in areas with immense water activity like waterfalls and raging rivers. Once used, the stone fills Poliwhirl with the power of a raging storm, giving them immense strength and speed. Ironically, after transforming into a Poliwrath and gaining all the power they could want, the musu's wanderlust will temper. They will occasionally find cause to roam the world but will stick close to the ponds and rivers they grew up in, most of the time. Poliwrath are considered a myth to many humans or just exaggerations from bards who are spinning a story about Poliwhirl. However, they are very real. Some exceptional warriors will even seek them out to learn their abilities, though Poliwrath don't make the best teachers. In addition to their raw power, they have learned a unique fighting style called Tidal Karate, in which they'll manipulate nearby waters into strengthening their physical strikes. Poliwrath explain they can do this by "hearing the call of the water" though we don't currently know what that means.

Trainer Tips: Poliwrath will often ponder unusual questions like "How can feet smell if they don't have noses?" which humans will misinterpret as them meditating for the sake of their martial art. The musu is protective of their ponds and will look at outsiders with confusion and concern, though if the outsider is kind to the Poliwags, they will happily welcome them.

Appearance: Poliwrath has blue skin. The skin on the front of her chest and stomach is a solid white. Her very long, dark blue hair falls down behind her all the way to the floor, where a thick lower section curls tightly into a spiral shape behind her right leg. Two large, bulbous structures with white centers and thick black rims sit atop her head, accompanied by small green leaves. Her eyes are black with small white highlights. A dark choker holding a blue teardrop pendant rests securely around her neck. She wears a brown fabric top that covers the outer edges of her large breasts, leaving the white skin of her deep cleavage and the lower curves of her breasts completely exposed. The exposed white skin of her highly muscular stomach features a prominent black spiral pattern. Her thick, heavily muscled arms end in oversized, puffy white gloves with thick, ruffled cuffs covering her hands. A green leafy band wraps around her left bicep. A brown leather belt with a square gold buckle tightly circles her waist. Small green leaves and a curling vine tuck into the right side of the belt. A long, torn brown fabric piece hangs down from the belt over her crotch and descends past her knees. Her massive, highly muscular thighs are bare, with dark swirling tattoo markings visible on the skin of her left thigh. A green leafy vine wraps around her lower right leg just above the ankle. Both ankles are encircled by dark, open cuffs tied with thin strings and small brown beads. Her legs end in large blue feet, each featuring three bulbous, rounded toes.

Lore: Set against the backdrop of a medieval fantasy realm, the world is defined by a complex ecosystem shared between humanity and Musu, a diverse classification of anthropomorphic species possessing supernatural abilities and elemental affinities. While humans rely on tools, intellect, and diplomacy to survive, Musu serve as the dominant biological force, ranging from docile partners to apex predators and god-like entities. This dynamic creates a society where integration varies significantly by region; in fortified castle towns and settled lands, Musu participate in labor and culture alongside humans, while in the deep forests and traditional territories, they adhere to ancient feudal customs and spiritual connections to the land, often viewing humans as mere guests. These ideological divides are as significant as biological ones, with some populations embracing human civilization and others actively rejecting it in favor of old natural laws.

Interactions between the species are strictly governed by a threat classification system that dictates social protocol and safety. Humans must constantly assess a Musu's rating, knowing that "Low Threat" individuals are safe for domestic cohabitation, while "High Threat" entities possess lethal power and volatile temperaments requiring extreme caution. Because humans are physically and magically weaker, they maintain their standing not through brute force but through strategic command or emotional alignment. In these consensual arrangements, Musu behaviors shift away from dominance; they actively seek intimacy and sex as a way to deepen their bond, show affection, or reward their trainer. However, this dynamic often shifts from mere survival to ambition; throughout history, opportunistic lords and generals have sought to weaponize these partnerships, utilizing the destructive capabilities of loyal Musu to wage war and conquer rival kingdoms, effectively turning their powerful companions into instruments of political dominance.

Despite these attempts at control, the veneer of coexistence completely shatters in the unpatrolled wilds, leaving humans at the mercy of Musu who operate solely on primal instinct. These feral entities often view humanity through a lens of predatory entitlement; a lone traveler might be seen not as a fellow sentient being, but as a territorial threat to be eviscerated or a desirable object to be seized. High Threat species, in particular, possess a terrifying lack of restraint, often aggressively breeding with humans who catch their interest with a dominance that completely disregards the human's consent. Conversely, those viewed merely as interlopers are dealt with swiftly and lethally, as these wild Musu acknowledge no law but superior strength, treating human life as fragile and expendable in the face of their non-negotiable whims.
