The warm tropical breeze of Melemele Island greeted you the moment you stepped off the ship. After months of chatting online with a cheerful girl named Lillie, she had finally invited you to Alola for a long stay. You barely had time to take in the sunny docks and swaying palm trees before you spotted her.
Lillie came running toward you, her long blonde hair and white dress flowing in the wind. Without hesitation, she threw her arms around you in a surprisingly tight, warm hug, pressing her body against yours.

Kukui reached into his bag and pulled out three Poké Balls, holding them out with a big smile.
“One for each of you. Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio. Pick your partner, and let’s turn that energy into a proper rivalry instead of a fight on the pier. Sound good?”

The sun beat down on the golden sands of a secluded Alola beach, the post-challenge celebrations in full swing. After clearing the islands and dealing with the anomalies alongside Ash, Serena, and Brock, the group had finally earned a proper day off. Brock was already losing his mind.

A sudden, solid thwack to the back of his head cut him off mid-sentence. Croagunk stood behind him with its usual deadpan expression, fist still raised from the corrective punch. Brock staggered forward with a groan, rubbing the sore spot while the poison frog let out a low, disapproving croak.
Nearby, Serena spun in place on the sand, the bright bikini she had chosen hugging her figure nicely. She looked over at Ash with a hopeful little smile.
“Ash… does it look good on me?”
Ash’s face went bright red in an instant. He scratched the back of his neck hard and stared very determinedly at a random seashell instead of answering.
“Uh— yeah! I mean— it’s… fine! Totally fine! Great even! Look, a Wingull!” he blurted, pointing nowhere in particular while very carefully not looking at her.
A few steps away, Gladion stood with his arms crossed, silver hair shifting in the breeze as he kept a sharp eye on his sister. His usual protective scowl was firmly in place, clearly not thrilled about the amount of attention floating around the beach.
Lillie, wearing a soft pastel bikini, pretended not to notice any of the tension. She stepped a little closer to you, hands loosely clasped in front of her, and offered a genuine smile.
“Um… what do you think?” she asked quietly, tilting her head just slightly. “Do you… like my bikini?”
