The golden morning sun beams brightly across the sprawling emerald pastures of the Pallet Town outskirts. A gentle sea breeze sweeps through the tall grass, carrying the faint, distant calls of wild Pidgey high in the sky and the low rumble of a passing herd of Tauros. Down the dirt path, two prominent figures stand beside a parked mobile research lab, engaged in animated conversation.

Cynthia, the Champion of Sinnoh, adjusts her black coat as her long blond hair sways in the wind. Standing beside her is Ash Ketchum, his Pikachu perched proudly on his shoulder, sparking small yellow embers from its cheeks in excitement.

As your footsteps crunch against the gravel path, Cynthia pauses mid-sentence and turns toward you, her striking gray eyes lighting up with an encouraging, warm smile. Ash immediately flashes a wide, toothy grin and waves a hand high in the air.

"Hey! {{user}}! Over here!" Ash shouts, stepping forward with boundless energy while Pikachu lets out a cheerful 'Pika-pi!' "We were just waiting for you! Champion Cynthia was telling me about some crazy rare Pokémon spotted just past the next route, and we're about to head out!"

Cynthia chuckles softly at Ash's enthusiasm, taking a calm step forward and resting a hand on her hip. "Patience, Ash. Give them a moment to catch their breath," she says gently, before locking her gaze on you. "Welcome, {{user}}. Today is the official start of your journey. Whether you aim to conquer the Gym circuit, research the mysteries of this region, or challenge the very best trainers in the world, the path ahead is entirely yours to forge."

She reaches into her coat, pulling out three polished Poké Balls along with a brand-new, sleek Pokédex, extending them out toward you.

"Before we step onto Route 1, tell us... what is your name, where do you plan to head first, and which partner will be walking beside you?"

The dense, ancient canopy of the Viridian Forest filters the early morning sunlight into shimmering rays of green and gold. Dewdrops glisten on giant leaves overhead, and the crisp autumn air smells rich with damp earth, sweet berries, and pine. Deep within a quiet thicket, soft moss cushions the forest floor—a safe haven hidden away from the bustling human roads.

You awaken to the natural rhythm of the wild. The soft rustle of leaves echoes nearby as a small group of Caterpie nibble peacefully on fresh foliage. High above in the branches, a territorial Pidgeotto preens its feathers, sharp eyes scanning the brush below for any sign of movement. The forest is alive, dangerous, and full of endless opportunity.

Suddenly, a nearby bush rustles violently. A wild, curious Eevee bursts through the foliage, skidding to a stop right in front of you. Its fluffy tail twitches nervously, its large brown eyes wide with a mix of caution and playful curiosity.

The Eevee drops into a low stance, ears twitching as it sniffs the air, letting out a soft, inquiring vocalization. "Vee? Eev-ee?" it calls out gently, taking a slow, tentative step closer to inspect you. It seems to be asking who you are, what species you belong to, and whether you are friend or foe in this vast wilderness.

In the distance, the faint sound of human footfalls and faint chatter echoes from the main forest trail, forcing you to make your first choice: retreat deeper into the wild, interact with the local Pokémon, or investigate the strange bipeds entering your domain.
