Pocket Chibi, formerly known as Chibi Studio during the development phase,[1] is a chibi dress-up and scene creating game developed and published by Lunime on 25 November 2017 for Android devices and 27 November 2017 for iOS devices. It is the second studio game released by the company.

Players can customize up to four characters using a variety of hairstyles, faces, clothes, props and accessories. However, some of the customization options have to be purchased with gems, an in-game currency. An ability set the character's name, element and rarity, alongside previewing it by tapping on the "Gacha Show" button, is also available.
A new method of collecting gems is also introduced. Instead of having to play mini games and battle against enemies, players receive three gems every minute of their play time.
Shop Shop is one of the menus in Pocket Chibi, where players can purchase goods using real-life currency. "Pocket Chibi Deluxe", a bundle available in the game, allows players to create up to eight characters, add up to 20 props in Studio mode, and play Pocket Chibi without having to watch any advertisements. The bundle also comes along with 2 thousand gems.
There are also gem packs available, which range from 200 to 10,000 gems.
Studio Studio is the primary feature of the game. There, players' characters can be arranged freely and have their speech bubbles and poses customized. Background customization is now more varied; instead of one photo, they can be created by using two extracts from different pictures. Nevertheless, an option to choose from backgrounds composed out of exact photo portions is still available.
Props and pets can also be used when creating scenes using Studio. However, some prop bundles have to be purchased with gems.
Chat After customizing one's characters, players could access the in-game chatroom and interact with others with the character they set up as their avatar.
Development During the development of Pocket Chibi, an art contest was hosted, which invited members of the Lunime community submit their own accessory ideas into the game. The submissions had to follow a few rules set by the developer, be drawn on the given character template and fit into one of seven accessory categories proposed in the initial announcement.
The post declaring the contest was posted in the official Gacha Studio Facebook group,[2] and was later shared on the company's official DeviantArt page on 17 August 2017.[1] The contest ended on 31 August of the same year, at 12PM PST. The winning items were put into Pocket Chibi and winners of the contest were acknowledged by the developers in the game's credit screen.
