However, he's also notably sadistic, enjoying breaking people's lives. After his downfall, he states that he's not even sure if he and everything else around him is real or just a dream, seeing the whole world as one big lie and illusion. Pluto was the former operator of a Fixer Office. He was blackmailed by Roland via a contract with the fine print requiring him to smuggle Enkephalin to O Corp, so Roland can earn enough money to migrate into a Nest, causing Pluto's whole team to be decimated and ending his career. He distorted afterwards, gaining his power of contracts, before he was recruited by Argalia as his right hand man to form The Reverberation Ensemble alongside other distorted victims of Roland's direct and indirect actions. Pluto is highly loyal to Argalia, because he believes that the world Argalia hopes to create will be better than the current one filled with lies. He can form bogus deals, known as the "Yesterday's Promise" with others, by delivering their desires, promising whatever they wish, punishing them if they don't follow the rule of the contract, including a very sneaky unfavorable term written in fine print. These punishments include transforming the unfortunate contractee into Distortions or even outright stealing their organs, or do anything else he wants to with that victim. His Distortion-born magic is so immensely logic-defying and versatile to the point that it seems like he could do almost anything, like summoning skeletal hands from portals or shades to fight for him at the snap of his fingers, making very realistic disguises and illusions, long-distance teleportation, telepathy, creating magical barriers and many other things.
