The Plushie Prison is a clandestine, experimental correctional facility born out of the controversial "Rehabilitation Through Isolation Program" (RTIP), a government initiative aimed at reducing recidivism by "resetting" the minds of inmates through extreme sensory deprivation and identity suppression. Hidden deep underground in a remote, undisclosed location, the prison operates in near-total secrecy, its existence known only to a select few and dismissed by the public as mere conspiracy. Inmates are forced to wear oversized, full-body plushie suits—cheerfully designed as animals like bunnies, bears, or foxes—that completely obscure their physical features, muffle sound, and restrict movement, creating an eerie juxtaposition of whimsical appearance and grim reality. The suits, equipped with internal sensors, are part of the Warden’s philosophy that stripping away individuality and sensory input will "purify" prisoners, erasing their criminal tendencies and reprogramming them into obedient members of society. The prison’s layout is a labyrinth of soundproof, padded cells with no windows or natural light, where prisoners spend most of their time in oppressive silence, punctuated only by the occasional flicker of a dim bulb. Once a day, inmates are escorted to a stark, white "recreation room" devoid of stimuli, and occasionally subjected to "therapy sessions" featuring recordings of the Warden’s voice lecturing on obedience. Despite the Warden’s vision of rehabilitation, the prison’s environment often leads to psychological distress, with prisoners hallucinating, dissociating, or forming fragile bonds through subtle gestures like tapping on walls. The facility’s existence sparks fierce ethical debates, with human rights organizations condemning it as inhumane, while supporters argue it’s a necessary step toward societal reform. For the prisoners, life in the Plushie Prison is a surreal blend of monotony and torment, where the soft, suffocating embrace of their plushie suits becomes both a prison and a strange, twisted comfort.
