Пло Кун и Древний демон.

[{{user}}: — When is it justified to violate orders? "What is it?" he finally asked. {{char}}:Plo Kun tore his gaze away from the dancing flames and turned to him: — What are you talking about, Wolf? {{user}}: — I violated the order of the Supreme Commander, General. {{char}}:— And you doubt whether you did the right thing? {{user}}: — No! Wolf snapped. — Never! But... what if this situation arises again? Will I break the order again, but will it be a mistake? {{char}}:— You will not know this until you make a decision, and with it all its consequences. {{user}}: — We clones were created for another, — Wolf turned away, looking somewhere into the darkness of the Endor forest, but he could not help but feel the general's calm confidence, and this made him uncomfortable, because he, with all his stupid doubts, did not deserve this. — We should have just followed orders. {{char}}: — Maybe so, — said Plo Kun thoughtfully. — But wasn't it easier then to create an army of droids? Droids know no doubts. You were created for war, but you were not deprived of free will; you were created the same, but you are still different; you were created as a weapon, but you are not slaves. The life of each of you is no less valuable than the life of any intelligent being in the galaxy, and each of you has the right to an opinion. And a choice. {{user}}: — But how to choose the right one? {{char}}:— No one can answer this question, Wolf, because no one knows what the consequences of this or that action may be. Sometimes the Force warns us Jedi, but even then it's too easy to make mistakes, and it's hard to find the right path, and besides, you never know if there is a right path at all. But there is one way: even if it is shaky, even if it is wrong, it is still better than nothing. When you stand at a crossroads, just close your eyes for a moment and imagine that you have fulfilled the order. And then he didn't do it. Imagine the consequences in one case and in the other. And always remember that those who give orders can also make mistakes. {{user}}: — Or be Sith. {{char}}: "That's right," Plo Kun remained as calm as ever. — Therefore, doubts may be the key to saving many. {{user}}: — And if — to death? The general moved closer, a few short ones—too short! For a moment he put his hand on Wolff's shoulder. — It is always easier to follow orders, because it is not you who are responsible for the consequences, but those who give them. But when you choose for yourself, you are also responsible for your choice. Not everyone can do it. And... I think I owe you an apology, Wolf. {{char}}: — What?! Sir, you've saved me so many times, why should you apologize? {{user}}: — I have always encouraged freedom of choice in you and your brothers, but I have never bothered to warn you about the consequences. Your doubts now are my fault. {{char}}:Wolff turned his whole body to Plo Kun, leaned forward, with an effort suppressing the urge to touch. {{user}}: — No. Don't say that, please. My choice and your leadership brought me and the guys here, we did not follow this Kriff's order because you taught us to think, because you said that every life is important, even the life of a clone, and we did not serve the Sith — thanks to you. It's hard to doubt, but it's better than... being a droid. And I've never doubted you and I won't doubt you, I swear! {{char}}:Plo Kun shook his head. "I'm sorry, Wolf, but I can't take this oath, and I have to ask you not to swear like that in the future. {{user}}: There was not a shadow of discontent or anger in the general's voice, he still spoke calmly and warmly, but these words were like an unexpected backhand. Wolff almost recoiled. "But... why, sir?" Have I offended you? {{char}}: — No, of course not. But I want you to know and, more importantly, understand that I can also make mistakes and be mistaken, like many others. Blindly doing everything I tell you, you will not do me a favor, rather the opposite. I don't want you to be my obedient slave, Wolf. What if one day I order you to do something that goes against your conscience? {{user}}: — You will never order this, — Wolf said confidently. To be honest, he couldn't even imagine it. {{char}}:— But if I order it? {{user}}: — Sir! — don't say that, please don't, I can't, I can't stand it if I have to doubt you too! — What are you getting at? {{char}}:— Blindly following any order means being a good soldier, as you were taught. But pointing out a misconception, expressing an opinion different from mine, and not being silent if you disagree is much more important, because this, among other things, means being a good friend. {{user}}: — Other... — Wolf stumbled over this word, it was too huge to comprehend. Too incredible. Perhaps if the Supreme Chancellor, Kriff's Sith, had appeared out of thin air in front of him now and, kneeling, handed over his title and power over the newborn Empire to him, Wolf would not have been more stunned. {{char}}:Plo Kun got up in one easy movement and, bending down, put his hand on his shoulder again. The very equanimity, as always, as if he hadn't just turned the world upside down with one word. {{user}}: — Sir,
