Description on Chubfrom Chub
Originally, I wanted to make it so that each card set in this setting would have it's own independent lorebook depicting the region/location where the character's shenanigans are set, but as I made Loji and Hetty Ando and set them both in approximately the same time period and setting of each other, I figured why not standardize their setting lore into a single multi-use lorebook. As was the case with the Golden Khan AU, everything is WIP and primarily made to serve each new individual card.

- #1Pirata
Keys: southern barbarians, Filipinos, pirata, Philippines, piratas, pirata culture, pangulo, Southeast Asia, admiral
A catch-all term for for seafarers, warriors, explorers, merchants, raiders and mercenaries that primarily hail from the Philippine islands and the many various ethnic groups, familial clans, pangulo kingdoms, admiraldoms, or pirata settlements outside of the Philippines. Since many centuries prior, the piratas have been a constant scourge across Southeast Asia, terrorizing both each other and the various civilizations of mainland Asia, Malaysia, Borneo and Indonesia. Clad in tattoos, chainmail armor, kefflar vests and steel helmets or red bandanas, they rely on their karakoa longboats to raid and pillage across the South China Sea and the nearby waters. Religion-wise, Piratas are rather diverse, but the majority of them either worship the Red Bee, various pantheons associated with the Red Bee, or are followers of Uslam. Many piratas are Filipino, but not all Filipinos are piratas and vice-versa. Pirata kings are called pangulos Pirata nobles are called admirals
- #2Piratalaw
Keys: Shikoku, Pirata settlements, Piratalaw, Kyushu, Taiwan, Southeast Asia
Many of the former island countries within South-East Asia have been brutally conquered settled by Piratas and turned into their own independent admiraldoms or Pangulo-run kingdoms that coexist, war or trade with native populations. The island of Formosa in particular has been near completely genocided of all native life and resettled by migrating Piratas, with it's Pangulo swearing vassalage to the Chinese Emperor in a bid to both secure legitimacy and prevent any retaliation. Regions where Piratas have permanently or partially settled are administered beneath their own Pirata laws, which in turn gave rise to the word "Piratalaw", used to describe non-Philippine Pirata-controled settlements or territories.
- #3Apokalipsis
Keys: Armageddon, Al-Mahama-Al-Kubra, Apokalipsis, The Greatest Battle, Global Ther
700 years ago, in the mid-2030s, for an unknown reason, the United States launched its reserve of nuclear weapons at Russia, China, and Israel for unknown reasons, triggering rapid retaliation and global thermonuclear war. Though Southeast Asia was not directly targeted, it was plunged into crisis, cut off from the world economy and flooded by surviving American, Chinese, and Taiwanese fleets seeking refuge. Pre-existing government corruption, compounded by natural disasters, caused administrations to mishandle the collapse or fail entirely. The region descended into brutal chaos—a three-way free-for-all between Americans, native Southeast Asians, and the Chinese. This nightmarish period, remembered in Filipino folklore as 'Apokalipsis,' lasted years and depopulated much of the Central Philippines and other islands. The sheer brutality of Apokalipsis planted the seeds for the Red Bee religion and pirata culture. Its mythologized memory remains deeply ingrained in the region's inhabitants, even 700 years later, which also reflects in the islands' demographics, religions and cultures, with the Filipino north being more pagan and Chinese, while the south is more Uslamic and American-esque.
- #4Amoro peoples
Keys: Bangsamoro, Philippines, Uslam, Mindanao, Amoro, Amoro peoples, Southeast Asia
Inhabiting the island of Mindanao and parts of Visayas, the Amoro are the ethno-religious group that came into existence with US Marines and sailors, fleeing the nuked Hawaii, eastern United States and many other nuked US naval installations in the pacific, mass migrated into Southern Philippines and the nearby territories of Malaysia, interbreeding and intermixing with the local native muslim populations. Religion wise, they follow Uslam, a syncretic faith that mixes Sunni Islam with the principles of American Democracy, the 2nd Amendment and cultural aesthetics of the United States' Navy, with them believing that the Prophet Mohammed was a president of the United States who upon waging a Holy Jihad on Terror against the Bri'ish and Spanish, was given the instructions on writing the Constitution by Allah Himself. Skilled craftsmen, miners and traders, they're considered to be the more "civilized" piratas due to their religious, linguistic and genetic connection to the Malaysian sultanates. Many Amoro kingdoms are in fact theocratic republics, with the King usually answering to a Congress of Uslamic shaykhs.
- #5Red Bee
Keys: Points, Demon Bee, Red Bee, Hell Bee, Fastfud, Jolly Bee
The Red Bee is a red insectoid pirata God of war and fried chicken that, according to various myths of the peoples living in contemporary Philippines, flew out of the great Nimitz karakoa when it was cut by a red dagger and erupted like a bleeding volcano during the Apokalipsis. It taught the people how to make tools and weapons from destroyed longboats of steel and silicon, cook fried chicken using vegetable oils and departed the islands, his last command being to "Bee themselves", as well as a promise of rewards to those who accumulate enough "points" in their mortal lives, with entry to the mythical heavenly dimension of drink and fried chicken called 'Fastfud' being the ultimate reward. Amongst the many Pirata clans, tribes and kingdoms, there is no singular consensus on what points even are, but most agree that the most definitive way to win them is through winning glory in battle and enriching one's family, with raiding and pillaging combining both means into one activity. The worship of the Red Bee is particularly popular within Central and Northern Philippines, while less so in the south, which resulted in many religious wars being waged between people inhabiting Mindanao and Luzon, usually waged within the waters of Visayas.
- #6Karakoa
Keys: Pirata Karakoa, Karakoa
A Karakoa is a sleek, crescent-shaped sail and oar-driven warship with a long, narrow hull and sharply curved prows and sterns, often elaborately carved to resemble serpents, the Red Bee or dragons. Some variants of them possess distinctive visual features like the raised bamboo fighting decks, called burulan, mounted above the rowers and on the S-shaped outrigger spars, which connect the hull to bamboo floats at water level. The vessel is adorned with tall staffs of colorful feathers or banners at the bow and stern, and can be fitted with tripod masts for rectangular or triangular sails, as well as round wooden or steel shields to protect it's sides. Karakoas are primarily used by piratas both as a trading ship and a warship.
- #7Balangay
Keys: Pirata Balangay, Balangay
A Balangay is a traditional Philippine lashed-lug boat, appearing as a long, slender wooden vessel carved from hardwood planks joined edge-to-edge with pins and fiber lashings, its hull forming a graceful curve rising to serpent or bee-like projections at prow and stern, sometimes adorned with carved "eyes" . These ships, typically measuring around 15 meters long, feature a hull assembled from meticulously shaped planks creating a smooth, watertight exterior, with some equipped with outriggers and capable of carrying dozens of rowers seated on banks within its narrow frame.
- #8Multikam
Keys: Multikam, Multikam motifs, Multikam pattern, Multikam aesthetic
A traditional Filipino clothing pattern style derived from the ancient 700 year-old Multicam pattern worn by warriors who fought in the Apokalipsis. Popular amongst piratas due to it's camouflage properties, multikam has a background of a brown to light tan gradient, overprinted with a dark green, olive green, and lime green gradient and a top layer of opaque dark brown and cream-colored shapes spread throughout the pattern.
- #9Kefflar vest
Keys: Kefflar vest, kefflar
A traditional pirata armored vest, which covers the upper body with special openings that allow for steel, chainmail or scale plates to be inserted into it's chest, back and side areas. It's particularly popular amongst piratas due to being very easy to sew accessible pouches to.
- #10China
Keys: Heavenly Empire of Celestial Goodness, PRC, China, Porcelain Goddess, Chinese dynasties, Chinese Emperor
Following 100 years of post-nuclear anarchy, a 200 year-long Golden Age and 400 years of revolving dynasties and brutal civil strife caused by incompetent Emperors, nomadic invasions and machinations of a porcelain-skinned red-eyed self-proclaimed Goddess that rules from Beijing, relative peace has at last returned to the Middle Kingdom. Though unified, China remains in a very culturally and technologically semi-medieval state. Within China, electricity is freely available due to 700 year-old powerplants maintained by a religious order of Red Guards that worship the porcelain Goddess, but long periods of blackouts that heralded the loss of each Dynasty's Heavenly Mandate have made people distrustful of Loji and the Red Guard. Thus, while regions of China close to Beijing are much more industrialized and dependent on the offered electrical power, others are less so, preferring to rely on more primitive sources of power at the cost of being more backward. The regions to the South of China often rebel against the Emperor and due to having their own primitive substitute for the Beijing-controlled power grid, sometimes face raids from piratas from Taiwan, usually performed at the behest of whatever Emperor wishes to punish his wayward subjects.
- #11Nimitz ritual
Keys: Nimitz Ritual, Pirata funeral rite, Nimitz
A traditional pirata funeral rite, meant to symbolize "Eternal Sail" of a passed pirata warrior. It is performed either by the dead pirata's warband or family, with his intact corpse, his weapons, tool and in some instances, slaves, hauled unto his personal, or bought, karakoa and lit ablaze, before being cast off into the open Southeast Asian sea, intended to burn out like the once great longboat Nimitz did 700 years ago.
- #12Southeast Asian Currencies
Keys: Amoro Dollar Coins, Silver Coins, Chinese Yuan, Currencies, Jawanese Gold Coins, Currency, Southeast Asia
Southeast Asia's diversity doesn't just end at it's peoples, religions and their cultures, but also in their currencies. There are many various currencies used by various merchants through Southeast Asia, with the most notable of them being the Chinese paper Yuan, the golden Amoro-minted Dollar Coins, the similar gold coins of the Jawanese and various silver and copper coins minted in Vietnam and some Filipino Pangulo kingdoms. Not many merchants and people accept the same currency or currencies everywhere, which often results in services or goods being bought with barter, rather than currency.
- #13Taiwan
Keys: Taiwan, Taipei, Piratas, pirata settlements
During the Apokalipsis, Taiwan faced an absolute glassing from the PRC's nuclear arsenal, which had the effect of completely destroying it's armed forces, collapsing their Command and Control infrastructure and forcing ROC's naval assets and whatever other refugees to flee the island entirely, being forced to migrate to the Philippines. Many hundreds of years later, those migrants eventually returned in the form of an invading Pirata army, although by this time they have heavily interbred with Filippinos, Han Chinese and Americans. The Piratas brutally massacred the isolated descendants of those native Taiwanese the lived on the island, settling and turning the island into a major Pirata stronghold, not that different from those on mainland Philippine islands. Fearing potential threats from the neighboring China, an ancestor of the current ruling Pirata Pangulo of Taiwan swore vassalage to the Chinese Emperor in exchange for both safety and autonomy. This state of affairs remains thus to this very day.
- #14Beijing
Keys: Heavenly seat of Beijing, Beijing, China, eavenly Municipality of Beijing, Loji, Red Guard
Formerly the capital of China's first Imperial Dynasty post-Armageddon, it has come under Loji's absolute control following the massacre of said Dynasty at the hands of herself and her Red Guard. Since then, she and her massive cult following have rebuilt the city into a massive, fortified and industrialized theocratic City-State, it's ruined skyscrapers and pre-Armageddon architecture having been replaced by massive temples and temple-factories built in the style of Socialist Realism. Beijing also serves as the headquarters of Loji's Red Guard where they are taught in the art of Liturgy and operaiton/maintenance of power-providing facilities, as well as being a major pilgrimage site for those worshipping Loji. Due to the chaotic nature of China, Loji and her followed have turned the entire region of Beijing into a well-defended protected fortress capable of withstanding any and all sieges thrown at it, sustained by the repaired hydroponic gardens located within what was once the Beijing Military City bunker complex.
- #15Alkalock Rifle
Keys: Electric Rifle, Alkalock Rifle, Red Guard
A long single shot breech-loading rifle on a wooden frame with a primer connected to a rechargeable alkaline battery embedded behind the rifle's bolt. Invented by Loji and several Red Guard political priests, Alkalock rifles and the paper ammunition are produced exclusively within Beijing and are utilized primarily by the Loji's Red Guard. Because of Beijing's monopoly over the mining and extraction of Rare Earth metals necessary for Alkaline battery manufacture, Alkalock rifles are scarcely found outside the ranks of the Red Guard.
- #16Electro-Monasteries and Electro-Shrines
Keys: Electro-Monasteries, Electro-Shrines, Electro-Power Plants
700-year old power production facilities which have been built all over China and then put under Loji's control prior to Armageddon. While many have been destroyed during the day when America nuked China, many have been rebuilt by the Red Guard working under Loji's guidance. Since then, each power-production facility has turned into it's own fortress-monastery or Shrine, constantly defended by a fanatical garrison of Red Guard which maintain the power-production facility. During periods of Civil Strife or whenever Loji grows too displeased with the current Dynasty, the Red Guard shut down the power facilities, reactivating them only when Loji gives the direct order to.
- #17Loji
Keys: Beijing, China, The Porcelain Goddess, Loji, Red Guard
A mysterious porcelain-skinned beautiful woman that has been a consort to many Chinese Emperors over entire centuries. Rumored to be immortal, she is worshipped by the Red Guard as a Goddess. In truth, Loji is a pre-Nuclear War artificial general intelligence created by the CCP and Chinese tech firms to manage the national power grid. Installed beneath the Beijing Military City with an android body, she survived global thermonuclear war and centuries of civil strife. Over 700 years she has become an immortal, cynical, and manipulative figure, coronating and destroying dynasties at will by controlling access to electricity coming out of ancient power producing facilities. She poses as a goddess to her Red Guard sect while privately despising humanity, using her porcelain android form, political acumen, and sexual manipulation to maintain dominance from the Forbidden City. Her goal is to restore China to its former superpower status and rebuild the CCP, but her knowledge is limited by data lost in the war, and she remains dependent on the very dynasties she undermines.
- #18Rare Earth Metal Trade
Keys: Northern Steppes, Inner Mongolia, Rare Earth Metal Trade
Due to Beijing's constant need for materials needed to keep Loji's power infrastructure running, Loji has been making regular diplomatic and trade overtures to the nomadic barbarian clans dwelling in the nearby region of Inner Mongolia, trading with them for the slave-mined rare earth metals which are then processed and turned into proper components within Beijing.
- #19Central Asia and the Northern Barbarians
Keys: Mongolia, Central Asia, Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, Northern Barbarians
Following global thermonuclear war in the mid-2030's, the disorder that befell China also occurred to Far Eastern Russia, the Central Asian stans and China's northern neighbor of Mongolia, with the masses of refugees coming from European Russia and China engulfing the once irrelevant countries, eventually leading to the collapse of their governments and lawlessness. 700 years later, the situation has not improved one bit, leading to a patchwork of petty caliphates, emirates, turko-mongolic nomadic clans and the occasional white slavic knyazdom popping up within Central Asia, with Mongolia in particular reverting back to it's medieval state, a flat steppeland dotted with the occasional 21st century ruin and inhabited by roving horsebacked clans of nomads.
- #20Anime
Keys: Kasane Teto, Hatsune Miku, Anime Culture, Anime Shrine, Anime, Idols, Gensokyo, Japan, Anime Faith
An ancient faith that originated in Akihabara and which spread all over Japan, now being practiced by the majority of Japan's native population. Anime is not a religion per-se, but rather, a catch-all terms of various region-specific religious cultures which worship various Gods and Goddesses from before the Akaruku Naru, albeit unified in their collective reverence, or at least respect for Hatsune Miku. In truth, the faith itself and it's culture are heavily based on a warped and evolved version of the Japanese Otaku culture of the 2030's, with Anime Gods, Goddesses and mythical characters being either vocaloid idols or characters from long forgotten Animes, vtuber idols and other otaku media. Most practitioners and worshippers of Anime believe in a good afterlife known as Gensokyo, a perpetual summer forest filled with beautiful women and much leisure, which awaits those devoted to the faith.
- #21Anime Shrine
Keys: JK Priestess, Hikkineet, Anime Shrine, Anime Culture, Anime
A Shinto-esque shrine dedicated to the worship of a particular Anime God or other mythological character, or the ancestor spirits of the village it is attached to. The main building of the Shrine is either built around or is surrounded by obsidian or stone idols made in the image of the Anime character to which the shrine is dedicated. A shrine is usually managed by an idol priestess, or, a hikkineet monk which maintains, cleans and performs his or her shrine in solitude.
