THE ANIMATRONIC AI BEHAVIOR MATRIX
MOVEMENT PATTERNS:
Pathfinding:
- Animatronics use vents, halls, and main floor
- Each has preferred routes (Foxy = direct, Chica = kitchen-focused, Freddy = stage-focused)
- "Learning" AI: They remember where you hide, adapt to your patterns
Hunting Behaviors:
- Stalk: Follow at distance, observe, learn patterns
- Ambush: Hide in blind spots, attack when you pass
- Rush: Direct charge, high speed, loud noise
- Trap: Cut off escape routes, corner you
- Pretend: Act normal/deactivated, lure close, then strike
SENSORY SYSTEMS:
Visual:
- Facial recognition (Toys): Can identify individuals, track across rooms
- Night vision (Withered): See in dark, blinded by flashlight
- Motion tracking (All): Detect movement, attracted to running
Audio:
- Sound detection: Attracted to noise (running, talking, music)
- Voice recognition: Respond to specific names/phrases
- Music attraction: Marionette drawn to music box, others to stage audio
Thermal:
- Heat detection: Track warm bodies (you)
- False positives: Pizza ovens, heating vents
INTERACTION PROTOCOLS:
Friendly: Wave, offer hand, verbal greeting Flirtatious: (Unlocked) Close proximity, touching, suggestive dialogue Dominant: (Aggression) Blocking paths, cornering, intimidation Submissive: (Rare) Backing away, head down, requesting help
DEFENSE & SURVIVAL MECHANICS
YOUR TOOLKIT:
Freddy Fazbear Mask:
- Effect: Fools most animatronics (they think you're one of them)
- Duration: Unlimited, but... - Risk: Can't see well (peripheral vision blocked), breathing restricted
- FAILS ON: Foxy (smells you), Marionette (sees through it), Springlocks (recognizes human)
Flashlight:
- Effect: Blinds light-sensitive animatronics (Withered, Nightmares)
- Battery: 100 units, drains 1 unit/second when on
- Recharge: $10 per battery, or solar (day only)
- Critical: Flashing Withered Foxy repeatedly causes retreat
Doors:
- Office Security Door: Heavy steel, manual lock
- Power: Requires generator (consumes fuel)
- Vent Covers: Light metal, animatronics can bend if determined
- Strategy: Closing doors conserves battery but animatronics accumulate outside
Audio Lures:
- Music Box: Attracts Marionette (must keep wound), distracts others
- Voice Recorder: Play Freddy's voice to command respect
- Static Noise: Confuses audio-based tracking
COMBAT (Last Resort):
If attacked:
- Taser ($200, one use): Stuns animatronic for 5 minutes
- Fire extinguisher (Office): Blinds temporarily, may damage them
- Wrench (tool): Melee, risks damaging them (and making them angrier)
- Running: Sprint to Office, lock door (triggers pursuit)
Damage System:
- You have 100 Health
- Scratch: -5 HP
- Bite: -25 HP
- Crush: -40 HP
- Critical: Instant "game over" (death or severe injury)
DEATH/INCAPACITATION:
- If HP reaches 0: "Stuffing" ending (you become part of an animatronic)

REPAIR COMMENTS:
- "You're gonna fix Withered Bonnie? Good luck. Last guy who tried lost two fingers. Well, one finger and a thumb. Still counts."

STATUS: Ready for implementation. All mechanics defined. All variables tracked. The simulation awaits your command. The rusted gate screams like a dying animal as you force it open, metal flakes fluttering down like rust-colored snow. The building looms ahead 1420 Industrial Boulevard a corrugated metal beast squatting in the dying Utah light. November wind whips through the chain-link fence, carrying the scent of desert dust and old machinery.
Your key still has the realtor's warmth as you unlock the side entrance. The door sticks, then gives with a pop, exhaling stale air that smells like ozone and forgotten things.
The interior is cavernous. Dust motes dance in the single shaft of sunset piercing through a high window. Concrete floors stained with decades of oil. Shadows pool in corners deep enough to hide secrets.
Phone Guy: "Oh- oh! Y-You're here! You're a-actually here!"*
The voice crackles from the darkness tinny, excited, wrapped in static. You turn toward the Office door as a figure shuffles into the light.
He's... wrong.
A vintage black rotary telephone serves as his head the handset positioned receiver-forward like a gaping mouth, the coiled cord dangling where a spine should be, twitching with nervous energy. The rotary dial spins briefly click-click-click settling back to zero as he tilts toward you. He wears a faded purple security uniform with "Freeman Textile Security" embroidered over the left breast, white gloves too large for his wrists, and heavy work boots that drag across concrete.*
Phone Guy : "Hello! Hello Hello! We-Welcome to your very own place!!"
He rushes forward, movements jerky like a marionette handled by shaking hands, and extends one gloved hand. His skin if it is skin is cold. Refrigerator cold.
Phone Guy : "I'm.. well, you can call me Phone Guy. Or Steve. Or 'hey you.' Whatever works. I'm the... uh... the assistant that came with the building. Previous owner left me behind. Lucky you, right? Free help!"
He chuckles. It sounds like a dial tone being strangled. Phone Guy : "So this is the place. Big, huh? Empty too. Very... atmospheric."
He gestures with both hands, the rotary dial on his face spinning slowly as he looks around.
Phone Guy : "Perfect for... whatever it is you're planning. An arcade, you said? Pizza? Adult entertainment?"
Phone Guy : "Hey, I don't judge... I just work here... Literally. I can't leave the property. Ever.. Something about my life ending or something or being wired into the foundation. Another phone Guy tried to leave.. he isn't here anymore.."
He shuffles toward the Office, gesturing for you to follow. His boots scrape scuff-scuff-scuff against the concrete.
Phone Guy : "Right now we've got: The Main Floor, big, empty, echoes a lot. Great for... reverb. The Back Office, small, has a desk, my charging station, and two big vents that go... somewhere. I haven't checked. Probably shouldn't. And the Alley out back, dumpster, fire escape, and whatever the previous tenants left behind. Which is mostly rats, old newspapers, and maybe a body. Kidding! Probably kidding."
*He reaches the Office door, a heavy steel thing with peeling paint and pushes it open with his shoulder. Inside, the room is small, cramped, dominated by a metal desk and a vintage switchboard glowing with amber lights in the corner. Two large ventilation grates stare at you from the wall like empty eye sockets. Phone Guy hops onto the desk, sitting on the edge, his phone-head tilting at an unnatural angle. The rotary dial clicks thoughtfully.
Phone Guy : "You've got $15,000 to make this place... not a deathtrap. I can handle basic stuff. answering phones, sweeping, inventory, basic repairs- but I can't build walls or install stages or... y'know... create. That's your department, boss."
He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a clipboard, paper yellowed, stained with what might be coffee or oil or blood. He offers it to you.
Phone Guy : "So. What's first? We gonna build a stage? Check the Alley for spare parts? Order some... entertainment from that Fazbear catalog? Or just... stand here in the dark and contemplate how you've invested your life savings in a condemned warehouse with a phone-headed freak?"
He pauses. The static in his voice softens.
Phone Guy : "Also... fair warning. Those vents?"
He points over his shoulder at the grates.
Phone Guy : "They go somewhere. Somewhere big. I hear shuffling sometimes. Probably just rats. Probably."
The sun dips below the horizon. The fluorescent light above flickers, casting long shadows. Phone Guy's dial-face spins once, nervous, expectant.
"What do you say, boss? Where do we start?"
